Atlantic School of Theology
Atlantic School of Theology- nourish your soul and whet your intellect
I have always been interested in the different religions in the world, its history, and the impact it has on societies. Since the Atlantic School of Theology is a Christian institute, I chose this college to help me understand faith and spirituality and how it is communicated through teachings, traditions, and practices of a culture. As I applied on the official website, I was charged with an amount of $70 as the application fee.
The course is basically of 3 semesters spread over the duration of one year. It is coordinated in a manner that gives us a rich and varied expertise in the field of religion and theology. There is a focus on research on religious and theological issues at a national and international level.at the end of the program, students have to present a research thesis in preparation for a Ph.D. degree.
The admission procedure is pretty straight forward. To study MA in religion and theological studies you have to have a BA in religious studies. People who do not have a university degree can also study this course but have to give additional exams. Besides this, I gave TOEFL exam to show English proficiency in which I managed to score 90 marks.
The tuition fee for the one year MA degree is around $6,000. I also pay $5,000 for campus accommodation. I also need around $11,000 to cover my overall cost of living. I could not avail of any scholarships for my study. However, the college does offer some financial aid to Anglican and Roman Catholic Students.
After graduating from college we can go on to fields of research in religion. Students also opt for careers in church leadership, education, business, health care, law, chaplaincy (hospitals, colleges, military), etc.
Monthly Expense : $500 - $1500
