Atlantic School of Theology
Atlantic School of Theology in my view
Atlantic School of Theology is a great and renowned school for the post-graduate students for studying ministry and developing world leaders. I was very much interested in Theology and wanted to join the ministry, so I was searching at the school that meets my demands and I found this. My school prepares us for meeting the theological and ethical challenges of today's world. I applied online to this college and paid an admission fee of nearly $70, which was non-refundable.
My program offered jointly through the Atlantic School of Theology and Saint Mary's University. It brings together two complementary, interdisciplinary programs, Theology (AST) and Religious Studies (SMU). I got an experience of the diverse and rich fields of expertise in the study of theology and religion. I also got to work on a research project focusing on religious and theological issues and religious communities regionally, nationally, and internationally. It includes the study of traditional religious and theological areas, such as comparative religions, comparative ethics, biblical studies, systematic theology, and pastoral theology.
Since my first language is not English. I had submitted my scores of English language proficiency test result of TOEFL in which I secured 550. Along with my high school diploma certificates. Other students, wishing to apply can also produce the scores of Cambridge First Certificate in English; MELAB; CanTEST; or IELTS.
I have to pay a tuition fee of nearly $14,000 every semester. This fee does not include a residence. For residence, we have to apply separately. Many scholarships are also available in the form of grants and awards. my college's AST's bursary fund provides $55,000 annually to students with financial need. Along with that AST's entrance scholarship fund amount so nearly $90,000. All MDiv and MA applicants are automatically considered for these awards
My School also provides on-campus and off-campus residence facilities. I am fortunate to live in a safe, friendly, and smoke-free environment. The Double Room, Single Occupancy costs around $553 monthly, in which I lived for 1 year and then I switched to One-Bedroom Apartment costing nearly $700 per month for mess and laundry we have to pay an extra amount.
The college offers internship and research opportunities for us on a timely basis. They provide us tours to religious places and other research institutions in student exchange programs and conducts internships on-board. The school is dedicated to providing skill training and practical exposure to us.
A number of events are celebrated in the School which includes school functions and events. It also includes tours and visits to ministries and other places, through which we learn a lot about theology and religion. The school organizes debate, quiz competition, drama, music competition, and sports in every summer and winter season.
Monthly Expense : $2500 - $3500
