Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College has been established in the year 1981 by Ananda Social and Education Trust. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college offers full-time 5 years MBBS program at undergraduate level. The intake of MBBS students per academic year is 100, out of which 10% belong to SC/ST category candidates. Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College MBBS Admission

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) is a full-time dual degree program. The minimum eligibility to apply for this program is class 12 in science stream with minimum 60% marks.

Politically inclined, and a money-hungry management keeps them in the news and under the scanner for corrupt practices usually. Despite the heavy inflow of cash, the college infrastructure continues to downtrend yearly.
