Pros of being in an government medical college:- Good education Great teaching staff Affordable fees Lot of clinical experience Government medical colleges always have an attached civil hospital with daily patient turnover of 5000. Providing you a lot of scope to master your clinical skills The college has a huge library. With a/c and non a/c. Compartments. The library provides wifi 24/7 and a computer room that can be used for educational and entertainment purposes The hostel has a huge campus with different courts for volleyball basketball and table tennis. There is huge ground for cricket as well as football. Badminton indoor court is also available. Cons:- The mess food is not something you might like. The hostel rooms are not spacious and are untidy The city of Solapur is small as compared to other metropolitan cities The government medical college of Solapur is a place worth learning from. I place i still miss after completing my undergraduate studies!!!
As it is a govt medical college, all students have to work as interns in the civil hospitals for 1 yr compulsorily. The striped as of now is 13k per month
It is one of the most renowned and old medical colleges of Maharashtra. The academic front is very good. Labs are well equipped. Admission process starts about 2 weeks after the declaration of NEET results. It hai 85% state quota and rest all India quota.
The college is taken up by students who just failed to get the so called better colleges in Mumbai and Pune but this college is way better than the newly opened colleges in Mumbai. The only negative point is the hostels which are crowded and don't have good sanitation.
