Government Medical College Kottayam Admission

The admission to any course is based on marks obtained in the NEET or AIPMT entrance exams. 15% of the seats are all-India quota seats and 85% are reserved for State-Quota. The procedure is as follows:

Students must register themselves on the official website of the Medical Council of India.
After this, students will be allotted the college based on the marks scored in the entrance exam.
The candidate will procure admission through the All India Medical Counselling Process.

Remarks

Nice way of teaching and more friendly. I don't know the bad aspects of my college. Admission processes conducted by 2 phases. First one is an oriental class to give an idea about the course and regulations. After that on September 7th classes had been started. One of the most preferring this college is comparatively less distance over other top colleges in Kerala. I heard about Sfi union which is more helpful for students by means of Vijayasree programmes for first-year students, including awareness programmes like breast cancer awareness programme, Madrikam, Sakhi etc. If you have any doubts, search by Sfi Kottayam medical college.

College provides good facilities in every academic aspects. Being a Government College, the fee structure and all are feasible for every class of students. Negetive side is that medical Colleges never offers a fun academics as that of an arts College. It's not the negetive of the College, it's due to the seriousness and professionalism the course offers. Anyway the College Union, Students and everything makes the campus life awesome.

The only negative remarks are the acute staff shortage faced by the College. And the infrastructure of the college is undergoing a major facelift which makes the college in a transition stage. Positive remarks is that the college has a huge campus and a great staff really supportive seniors and a good canteen.

The campus facilities have to be improved with a subsidised canteen fees and more spacious library and a better ATM machine, the college bus should also cover the non hostel students. The parking lot should also be improved.
