Life af Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College

Internship -
7 /10

100% internship is provided by the college which is essential (better to say compulsory) General stipend ranges from 10K to 15 K .

Alumni/Alumna -

Seniors are extremely friendly, thoughtful, reliable, useful, creative But with that are always busy extremely hardworking and bit mire engagement in politics .

Faculty -
9 /10

Minimum qualification for professors here is at least 5 years of practicing experience. Most professors have more than 10 years of experience, and there are some who have even more than 15! In spite of this, they are empathetic to the needs of students, and are very friendly. Students develop an excellent rapport with the faculty over the course of time.

Remarks -
8.5 /10

Arguably the best homeopathic college in Delhi, and among the top 4 in India. But Canteen facility can be improved.

Admission -

The admission procedure for Nehru Homeopathic Medical College (NHMC) is as simple as ABC. The college issues an admission form which needs to be collected, filled in and submitted alongwith attested copies of certain necessary documents such as your marksheets, a character certificate, category certificates (if applicable) etc. before the stipulated time. A merit list is then put up according to the Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB) scores [in case of a tie in the scores, date of birth is considered and the older candidate is preferred above]. If your name crops up on the list and you wish to seal your admission you just need to go to the college (before the date slips away), deposit the neces...

Fees -

The college is highly reasonable – the tuition fee structure is about Rs.4000 for the first year, and just Rs.1000 for subsequent years. For a medical degree one can easily afford this much .All the facilities in the institution are nearly free of cost to the public.

Exam Structure -

This course is designed to produce such professional practitioner who will be able to treat patients with the holistic method and take care of them with the homoeopathic medicines. This course will enable students to work as a Doctor, Physician and Medical Officer.

Scholarship -

No scholarship but the fee structure is very reasonable (ie. Rs.4000 for the first year, and just Rs.1000 ) so no scholarship would be needed too...

Placement -
10 /10

No placement is provided by the college.one has to find it himself . One who is aspiring for govt job has to apply for the same while one who wants to do practice can do so . In a govt service salary ranges from. 60k to 1lakh but in private practice sky is the limit.

Entrance Preview -

I was selected on basis of 12th marks but now a days selection is based on marks in AIPMT also there is a proposal of AAYUSH taking a separate test. Atleast qualifying marks are required to get admission. Nehru Homeopathic Medical College (NHMC) is the best college in Homoeopathy ..Main reason why anyone opts for this college.

Hostel Facilities -
7 /10

Students generally tend to carry their lunch from home, unless they want to trust their lives with the hospital canteen. Which, by the way, serves no food – only juices but yes its in Defence Colony market, where you can find coffee shops, high-end restaurants as well as cheap eateries.

Events -
7 /10

Fresher’s Party & Farewell are celebrated every year. There is a week intra college sports cum cultural fest too. Festivals are also celebrated including teachers day fest. College truly creates memories which never vanish .The College is affiliated to University of Delhi so fests over D.U like Antardhan can also be enjoyed by the students .

Campus Life -
7 /10

People come here from all parts of the country, though it must be noted that at least 60% of students are previously MBBS-aspirants. You’ll find people from all sorts of socio-economic backgrounds here, but the majority will, more often than not, be down to earth, simple boys and girls. Extracurricular activities though not much focused are still there

Course Curriculum -
9 /10

Its is Five and Half Year Degree Course including one year compulsory Rotational Internship and approved by Central Council ofHomeopathy. Good for those who are interested in practice and also for those who want to do M.D. College also has 4 seats in M.D where 50% ie 2 seats are reserved for those who have passed B.H.M.S from the same college.

Good college

Remarks -

The college infrastructure is a little bit too old and doesn't give a good impression at the first sight to freshers even myself when I joined but a good place to gain knowledge and many successful homeopaths came out from our college only.

Homeopathy as a field is vry intresting and this college is one of the topmost to teach homeopathy all over india .

I wanted to learn homeopathic medical sciences and this college was goverment affiliated and one of the topmost all over india. Homeopathy as a science teaches us to treat patients with a more simpler and harmonious method rather than crude allopathic measures which led me to opt for this college.
