There was no factors as such, we were alloted the college depending on our marks and reservations by sikkim govt. itself. However, talking about the college,our college is nice both academically and extra curicular activities wise as well. And as for opting this course is because it was and is that I have always aspired to become a good doctor.
It's one of the best institution to pursue for your medical profession with so much of good infrastructure and lab facilities for the students to learn. And yes we have our own hospital so that we can practice our medical profession.
My overall experience in the campus is quite good. According to me, there are some aspects on which the college can work upon or should improve. Gender discrimination in case of curfews should be taken care of. The college should provide a good platform for the student-alumni interaction. Food quality could do with a lot of improvement.
Nice climate throughout the year. But winter is a little bit chilling due to hill station. But transportation problem is high in monsoons transport is hectic to the nearest airport or railway station.
The college is a good place. The teachers here are friendly dedicated and helpful Seniors are our saviours The infrastructure is good With good local environment The local people and the community in and around the college is very homely

The overall experience has been satisfactory. Wish there were more facilities for finding our inner talents and spending time on our hobbies. The study burden is as expected of a medical college.
As per my experience they need to get more experienced and qualified faculty members and also vastly improve the infrastructure and also make the college policies more flexible and give high priority towards the performance of the students in the college.
The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences is among the premium colleges of Sikkim Manipal University. The college is beautifully made, combining Sikkim’s style with the modern style of architecture and spreading over 25 acres of green land. The institute offers all the facilities that are necessary for the student development. The institute’s basic aim is to provide professionals who could look after the health facilities of the entire state.
