I did my B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Achutha Institute of Technology. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by UGC. The college is definitely a steal in terms of quality of teaching and campus life. The students can also get an option of rarely available engineering in the aeronautical.
Our college offers a concession in the fee based on the academic performance of the student and the financial background. Many students are receiving varying amounts of scholarships.
The fee structure for the entire course is around INR 2.5 lacs. The fee structure is quite affordable if compared with the other institutes offering aeronautical college. All the classrooms are air conditioned. The dining hall is good and the mess food is also good.
2 Hostels are there for both boys and girls. The fees are INR 45000 per year which is pretty much affordable. Pgs are also available outside the college and the rent is INR 4500 to INR 7500 per month. Food is good and the cost is also low.
Students societies are good. Ganesh Chaturthi festival and intercollege sports organised by our college. My college life is pretty good and I enjoy every moment of being here. This is the best place to study.
The admission is on the basis of the entrance test. I took KCET exam and applied for the course through online application process. I received a call for the counselling process on the basis of rank preference.
The placement record of the college is comparatively good. Around 70% of the students were actually placed from my batch. Average salary is around 3.5 lakh per annum and highest salary is 6-7 lakh per annum.
The syllabus was pretty good and informative. The teachers and their notes really helped me get through the exams. Seniors were also helpful, with important questions for exam and the previous years notes.

The average package is also good, especially for the streams like CSE and aeronautical engineering.by shamitha jain
