Ch. BP Government Engineering College was established in 2007. It is located in New Delhi. The college provides B.Tech degree at UG level.

Ch. BP college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). It is the only college in Delhi after Delhi Technological University (DTU) to provide B.Tech in Environmental Engineering.

Ch. BP Government Engineering College B.Tech Admission 2021

The college offers B.Tech in 3 specializations. Candidates applying for B.Tech must have passed HSC in PCM with at least 55% marks. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

For admission, candidates have to take IPU-CET. The admissions would be provided based on the merit/rank in the entrance exam.

As per the University norms, 10% of seats in each course are filled by the management quota on merit basis.
15% seats are reserved for candidates of outside Delhi region, i.e., those who have passed the qualifying examination from any school/ institute located outside Delhi.
These seats will be filled up through the merit/rank list of the CET prepared for Outside Delhi Region Candidates.

Ch. BP College Application Process 2021

All the candidates shall fill application forms for CET only through online mode. The application form is available on the University website. The application form along with the fee of INR 1000 excluding processing charges and taxes, as applicable, shall be paid online by Debit Card/Net Banking or by Challan.

After CET results, the candidates will have to sit for an offline counseling conducted by IPU. For depositing the counselling participation fee, the candidate has to visit GGSIP University admission website and select the option for “payment of counselling participation fee”, enter CET details viz CET Roll No, Date of Birth and Mobile Number. Candidates can pay the fee online or by Challan.

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment on the website and must take the printout of online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details, to be retained for all future reference. In the case of payment of fee through Challan, the candidate must retain the copy of the Challan after depositing the fees.

Ch. BP College Scholarship 2021

The college offers a variety of scholarships:

Merit Scholarship: Merit Scholarship will be provided to students securing 80% and above marks in the previous exam. Application form for the availing scholarship can be accessed from the college website.

Merit-Cum- Means Scholarship: Merit-cum-Means Scholarship will be provided to all students securing 70% and above marks with annual Family/Parental income upto INR 2 Lakhs. The scholarship will only be provided if the claim is duly supported by Affidavit or income certificate, countersigned/issued by concerned SDM office. Application form for the availing scholarship can be accessed from the college website.

Additionally, the college offers SC/ST/ Minorities, EWS (Economical Weaker Section) and SC/ST/OBC Merit Scholarship as well. Application form for availing any of these scholarships can be accessed from the college website.

Ch. BP College Reservation 2021

85% seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates, i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any school/Institute located in NCT of Delhi. These seats will be filled up through the merit /rank list of CETs prepared for Delhi Region candidates.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons with Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement

One seat, which will be supernumerary in nature is earmarked for Kashmiri migrants.

"College Rules, Regulations and Environment"

Admission :

When I was applying for the admission in colleges, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University used to conduct their own entrance exam named as IPU- CET( ipu common entrance test) so I got admission in Ch. Brahm Prakash Govt Engineering College through IPU- CET as it is affiliated to IP University. But 1 year later when NTA came into action for famous entrance examination JEE then even IPU falls under it. So you need to clear JEE to get admission in IPU affiliated colleges.

Remarks :

College management are very helpful and fulfilling their duties perfectly.

"Good college"

Admission :

First, you have at least 55% marks in your 12th board exams after that you have to appear in JEE mains exam and clear that exam and approximately get good ranks after that you will get admission in this college. After getting admission in this college you have to fill some forms and your admission process is complete.

"My second college"

Admission :

I had completed my 3-years diploma in Computer Engineering. But then i decided to do a Bachelor's Degree in IT only if i get admitted to a Government College. And i was lucky enough to get admitted. The admission process was quite simple where we had Register at "IPU" university's site to take admission in the course of choice and secure a lower rank in entrance exam for the course, where only a few students were admitted according to their rank in Entrance exam. And luckily i had obtained a lower rank to get admitted to the college of my choice

Remarks :

The placement of the students is very low as a few companies visit. Transportation is a big negative point as the commutation takes upto 4 hours daily. The positive point is that the teachers support us in any way possible and encourages us to never give up.

"University provides hostel facility"

Admission :

Admission is given to students on the basis of their ranks in IPU-CET which is conducted every year by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.the college provides all the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, library, sports and medical facilities. Our hostel rooms are good, and we get varieties of food items. The lab facilities provided are excellent. Classrooms are good. The campus is good. Food available in the canteen and hostel is good, and certain standards are maintained.

Remarks :

NO University provides hostel facility to students from outside the Delhi NCR region. There are four hostels, Shivalik(BH-1) and Aravali(BH-2) for Boys and Satpura(GH-1) and Nilgiri(GH-2) for girlsUniversity provides hostel facility to students from outside the Delhi NCR region. "Good College only for Civil Engineering"

Admission :

College is affiliated to GGSIPU. IPU holds a separate engineering exam for college admissions. Based on the rank secured college is provided via counseling. Exam is open for all students, however 85% seats are reserved for Delhi.

Location is one of the drawback of our college as its is situated in jaffarpur which is a village and near by delhi haryana border. Good thing is that it is a govt college so student come with lot of expectation and also it come under ipu university and only insitute which offer civil.
