Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is a private institute which was established in 1996 with the support of Indian Center for the Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE). B.Tech Program

The institute offers B.Tech program in various disciplines of Engineering. To get admission to the program, the candidate must have:

Obtained at least 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have passing marks (30%) in English.
Cleared WBJEE/AIEEE to secure a seat. Preference will be given to those candidates who have obtained a rank.

Note: For B.Tech (Lateral), the candidate must have done Diploma with minimum required marks. Securing a valid score in Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET).

M.Tech Program

The institute offers M.Tech in five fields. The following are the educational requirements to get admission to the program:

The candidate should have obtained minimum required marks in Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and must have scored 60% marks in 10+2 with PCM.
The final selection will be made on the basis of Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by MAKAUT.

MBA Program

The school of Management & Social Science offers MBA program through given criteria:

The applicant must possess Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum required marks.
The final selection will be made on the basis of valid JEMAT/MAT score, group discussion and personal interview.

MCA Program

In order to apply to the MCA program, the candidate is required to meet the given eligibility criteria:

The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with 50% marks and should have Mathematics as one of the subjects.
To secure a seat in the program, the score of West Bengal Joint Entrance for Computer Application (JECA), conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.
