Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) was established in 1998 by a merchant navy engineer in Chennai. The Institute believes that education has played a vital role in the success of a successful person or an individual and this, in turn, has made plenty of trained and successful professionals and intellectuals. In the last 16 years, the Institute has trained more than two lakhs students for various fields in various courses. The main vision of the institute is to provide quality education in the marine sector as well as create interest in the candidates through various methods by providing a sector where knowledge and education is the path to everyone’s success. The main mission of the institute is to make best marines in the world who will protect and respect the global environment and are strong enough to face all global aspects.
