Ans. It's not difficult to get into the Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology Ghaziabad (KIET), firstly, we need to qualify the eligibility and selection criteria and get a rank in UPTU. The opening rank for the CSE program was 2216 and the closing rank was 5604. You can get into KIET CS program, with a rank between 5,000-8,000. For others ranks till 10,000 are fine. Ans. The placement session for KIET Ghaziabad has been much better than other colleges of UPTU. The major companies visiting the campus for recruitment were: Samsung, Cummins, HCL, TCS, Snapdeal, Capgemini, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Procto, and many more. The mass recruitment happened for the IT branch students although core companies for the other branches visited the campus as well. A total of 305 companies visited the campus for their placements and a total of 1299 offers were made to the students The average package offered to the student stood at INR 4.14 Lakhs per annum whereas the highest package offered was INR 1.29 Lakhs per annum. 124 companies provided 741 job offers with an average package of 3-4 Lakhs per annum. 78 Companies provided 251 job offers with an average package of 4-9 Lakhs per annum. 18 companies offered 28 job offers with an average of 9 lakhs per annum. For the year 2020, the highest package has already reached 19 lakhs per annum being offered by Amazon. Majority of the students from the CS and It branch get placed in the core companies. For the placement of core branches very few companies visit campus but many software companies allow Core branch students to sit for placement.Read more

Ans. AKG would be preferred over KIET because of various reasons. One among them is the infrastructural facilities that make AKG stands out from any other college. Some of the facts of IT at AKG and IT at KIET for convenience are mentioned below: Placements Faculty Labs Interaction With Alumni and Seniors The Alumni and seniors at AKG are quite helpful and guide each other on placement information and how to prepare the syllabus. AKG has a better location and connectivity to Delhi and Noida. You can reach the campus from NH24 through an auto easily. Accenture, Amazon, Birch Street, and the Indian Army are some of the major recruiters at AKG. Placements are based on the overall performance we make. Students from the IT department were placed at an average package of 4.2 LPA. Many students barely got to sit for placements because of low attendance, students with 74.4% attendance were not allowed. AKG is quite strict with this. If we look at the current faculty in both the colleges. KIET 's IT department has more than 37 faculty members with papers published on topics like Enhancement of Cloud Security. AKG on the other hand has more than 27 faculty members with PhDs. AKG has labs at par with NITs and IITs, no other college in UP has labs like these. To name a few, they are Software Incubator, BIG DATA, Bosch Rexroth, Kuka Robotica, NI Labview, Advanced Welding Center, and Siemens PLM. KIET also has four labs with 120 computers. Read more

Ans. CSE at KIET Ghaziabad is the best choice. It has been ranked between 201-250 by NIRF and JSS Noida is in the same band as well. Check out some of the facts for both KIET and JSS Noida: Particulars KIET JSS Noida Fees 1.36 LPA 1.12 LPA Entrance Criteria UPSEE UPSEE Placement Package 13.29 LPA 10 LPA Some points to be kept in mind before choosing any institute: IT is just a part of CSE and not as effective. A few universities do not recognize IT Branch which might create problems for higher studies. JSS Noida has witnessed drastic changes in terms of placement. The records have gone down. The IT program at JSS Noida is at par with CSE as far as placements and infrastructure are concerned. The only disadvantage that KIET students would face is the location of the institute. Apart from this, students enjoy awesome campus facilities and lush greenery on campus. In terms of academics, KIET has the maximum number of students scoring more than 90% in their semester exams. In 2020, CSE and IT departments at KIET saw good placements, over 90% of the CSE students were placed with names like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, and many more. One should not expect facilities like IITs or NITs. The average package for both institutes ranges between 3-4 LPA. Lastly, a word of advice if you could, try contemplating well before joining either of these colleges. The attendance schedule is quite strict in AKG like KIET. Ans. KIET Ghaziabad has a placement rate similar to the other colleges of AKTU. As far as the CS and IT departments are concerned there won't be any delay in recruitments because most companies recruit from these branches. Generally, the major recruiters at KIET are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Snapdeal, Cummins, Torrent Power, etc. The institute sees mass recruitments in the IT sector and core companies like Reliance, SAIL, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Larsen and Toubro, etc keep visiting for recruitments as well. Elite recruiters like Amazon visit the campus, but infrequently.
