Ans. Both MAIT and MSIT are among the top 50 colleges for engineering in India. MAIT offers six BTech programs, and MSIT offers five BTech programs. The total seats for BTech in MAIT and MSIT are 1020 and 660 respectively. The annual tuition fee for each college is Rs 1.15 lakhs and Rs 1.35 lakhs respectively. Admission: Candidates need to sit for the JEE Main examination and go through the GGSIPU counseling in order to take admission to BTech courses at these institutes. Candidates require a 55% in their 10+2 to grab a seat in any of these colleges. The required cutoff for admission at MAIT is generally within 20000 (General) and for MSIT it is around 30000 (General). Placements: MAIT: Placements are average in MAIT, with 10 LPA being the highest salary package and 3 LPA being the lowest. The average salary package ranges between 4-5 LPA. Students from the CS/IT departments get more job offers than EEE. The placement percentage in EEE and other branches is around 30-50%. Companies like Infosys, ZS associates, Infosys, Wipro, and Godrej come for recruitment. MSIT: Around 85-90% of students get placed by the end of their fourth year. More than 60 companies come for the recruitment like IHS Market, Infosys, Accenture, Mu Sigma, ZS, TCS, Wingify, and Comviva Mahindra. The highest salary package offered is approximately 15 LPA, and 4 LPA is the average salary package offered. The highest salary package in the ECE course is around 8 LPA. The internship scenario in both the colleges is average, and around 20% of students get internships from college, most students opt for off-campus internships. Infrastructure: MAIT- MAIT's campus is small but has decent facilities. There are around 5 canteens in the campus, and the classrooms, libraries are spacious, and Wi-Fi enabled. Air-condition facilities are not available for all the classrooms and only cover some of them. Medical facilities are available 24/7. MSIT- MSIT's campus is relatively small, but it has all the necessary facilities that students need from libraries, canteen, to Wi-Fi facility. Wi-Fi is available only in the library, and there is only one canteen. A few indoor and outdoor sports facilities like carrom, table tennis, badminton, cricket, and football are available. Both colleges have the same level of infrastructure and placements. So, the admission ultimately depends on the student's rank and their preference.Read more

Ans. Between MSIT ECE and MAIT EEE, the former is the better alternative. As a branch ECE has better future prospects than EEE. You have to work hard to secure a decent placement opportunity in the field of EEE. The table below shows a brief comparison between the MSIT ECE and MAIT EEE. Particulars MSIT ECE MAIT EEE Average CTC 3-4 LPA 4-5 LPA Highest CTC 12 LPA 10 LPA Placement Average  70-80% 30% Top Recruiters  TCS, Accenture, Infosys Wipro, Godrej Course Fee 4.01 lakhs 4.69 lakhs Discussed below are some points that you need to consider. In the current industry scenario, there is more demand for proficient ECE graduates.  Both MSIT and MAIT are reputed IPU colleges that offer quality education in the field of Engineering. There is also not much difference between the two institutes. So, it will be better to prioritize the batch. Although in MAIT you will have the chance to upgrade your branch to ECE, CSE, or IT from EEE. I will suggest you to choose MSIT ECE.Read more

Ans. Both colleges have their advantages and disadvantages. Which is discussed below. MAIT: MAIT is not strict about attendance. You can manage your time better and study for your personal examination.  The environment at the campus is good. Although there is bad connectivity. Only Grameen Sewa Services are available. The faculties at the institute are not that good. The course fee is also a bit steep. You will get good placement opportunities at MAIT. BVCOE: BVCOE is strict about attendance.  The faculty and teaching standards are comparably better at BVCOE. The institute has a number of clubs. You will have the opportunity to take part in various co-curricular activities. The location of the campus is convenient and has better connectivity. If you want to study for different exams, BVCOE is not preferable. The placement opportunities at the institute comparably less. The table below will give you a brief comparison of the two institutes. Category MAIT BVCOE Median CTC 3.5 LPA 5.1 LPA Reputed Courses BTech, MBA BTech Go for BVCOE, it offers better personal development. For further studies or preparing for different examinations, MAIT will be better.Read more

Ans. If you are genuinely interested in ECE then you should opt for MAIT. Although from the viewpoint of future prospects, NIT ICE is far better than MAIT ECE. Deciding Factors:  ECE is a core engineering discipline and you need to have good skills to secure decent placement opportunities. The reputation of the college and brand name matters for placement. There are certain advantages to pursuing a course at NSIT. The brand name has its perks.  One other advantage of NSIT is that you can choose to study any subjects from any discipline later on in your course as an elective. Also, for immediate placement after graduation, NSIT is the ideal option.  The table below will give you a brief overview of the two options. Particulars MAIT ECE NSIT ICE Average CTC 3.2 LPA 6 LPA Course Fee (1st year) ? 2.5 Lakhs ?1.9 Lakhs Entrance Criteria IPU CET JEE Mains If you want a career in ECE, go for MAIT. Otherwise, NSIT ICE is the better alternative. Read more

Ans. Many students struggle with the college vs branch dilemma. You should choose the branch that you are more interested in. DTU is definitely a better college than MAIT. But you should make a choice depending on the course. In which field you will like to work for the rest of your life takes precedence over 4 years of college. The starting salary package of ECE at MAIT may not be lucrative. But you should definitely choose the option if you have an interest in ECE.  The table below can show a brief overview of the Universities. Particulars Biotechnology DTU ECE MAIT Average CTC 13 LPA  8 LPA Course Fee (1st year) 1.66 lakhs 1.1o lakhs Entrance Exam  JEE Mains/JEE Advance IPU CET Deciding Factors: People will advise you to opt for a reputed college. Since better college offers jobs with better salary packages. This is true to some extent. But one of the main aspects of jobs is job satisfaction. If you do not like what you are going to do for around 300 hours a month, it will take a toll on you. It is better to pick a line of work you like over a high paying job with the line of work you do not enjoy. To do that you have to give priority to the specialization over brand name. While starting out after finishing college, salary should not be your main concern. You should focus on honing your skills in your field. The first 3-5 years of your employment life should be about learning the most about your area of specialization. Since most of the institutes do not offer a curriculum that meets the needs of the industry.  You will have a lot of time to earn money, but you will not get the opportunity to learn and explore new things later in life. So, choose the branch you are passionate about.Read more

Ans. If you have an interest in Mathematics or you like to solve puzzles or play games like Sudoku, Chess, Minesweeper, then I think CSE will be good for you. You do not necessarily have to be good at these things, but if you are interested in any of these, there is a probability you will like CSE. Here is a brief comparison of the options mentioned in the question.  Particulars MAIT CSE  DTU BT/ENE/EP/PCT Average CTC 4-5 LPA 11.17 LPA Highest CTC 28 LPA 1.02 Crore Fees (1st year) 1.10 lakhs 1.6 lakhs Entrance Criteria  IPU-CET JEE  Deciding Factors: People may advise you to choose a branch in DTU and learn to code along with it. This will not be as easy as it sounds. It takes a lot of effort to learn to code. You also have to work hard in order to become good at it.  The final decision depends on your future goals and interests. If you do not have any inclination towards a branch, then you should decide what you want to do in the future.  If you want non-technical jobs, DTU is the better choice. The number of non-technical companies visiting DTU is greater than the number of companies visiting any IP colleges. Otherwise, if you want to go abroad CSE is the better choice.  So, make a choice depending on your current interests and future goals.Read more

Overall placement is good at this college. Good infrastructure. Small space but they have managed beautifully. Admission is taken on the basis of JEE Main and Management quota if you have a lot of money to spend on a seat then it is for you. The reason I preferring this college over others is it has good connectivity, good placements than any other colleges in Indraprastha university maybe after USICT ( Main campus ).

Some of the factors that led me to select this college over any other where it was affiliated with GGSIPU and had good placement records. I used the GGSIPU Official website and MAIT's website to gain knowledge about the college. The admission process was pretty straight forward the Engineering branch was allocated according to the rank of the candidate in CET.
