The Training and Placement department is the hub of all possible interaction between the corporate, industries, academic/ research institutions and others with Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) with the aim of assisting in placements for all eligible students.     Ans. Distance courses are always a preferred option especially in the present scenario where offline physical classes are not possible. Sikkim Manipal University offers distance education through SMU (DE) in both the courses like MCA/MSc while BVP offers only the MCA program. The prominent details are described below. Academics Structure: Both the courses are post-graduate courses but their duration varies according to the institute. Sikkim Manipal University offers an MCA program with a duration of 3 years while MSc (IT) program completes in 2 years. BVP offers the MCA program for 2 years. Curriculum: Distance courses generally are chosen on the strength of their curriculum as they normally provide more insights into the concepts of the subject. Sikkim Manipal: It follows a credit mechanism for both its courses. The credit distribution for the MCA program is as follows. Sem 1 20 Credits Sem 2 40 Credits Sem 3 60 Credits Sem 4 80 Credits Sem 5 100 Credits Sem 6 120 Credits Bharati Vidyapith: It has a 72 credit system with a complete project and practical work timeline. The entire MCA course is summed up in 4 semesters through great structural alignment. Fee Structure: Sikkim Manipal offers the MCA course at a fee range of Rs. 18,250 per semester.       The Institution has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and resource equipment that are important and vital for extracurricular activities as well as for academics. Classroom and laboratory facilities are at walking distance from hostels and overall the campus is decent. A great aspect of the college is its location as the quiet environment makes it very suitable for studies. The Admission process is very convenient as Manipal conducts its admission process in all its three branches which are located in Manipal, Jaipur and Sikkim so that students do not have to travel long distances.       As a pass out of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Batch 2017 , CSE department, I can say that it is one of the best private colleges for Computer science , IT and ECE aspirants.       Sikkim Manipal institute of technology is one of the best(rank-17) private colleges in India. NIRF ranking of Sikkim Manipal university is (101-151)rank band. NIRF RANKING of SMIT -(251-300). SMIT ranks in top 25 emerging private colleges of India. 94% PLACEMENT every year . For admission there is a separate SMIT entrance exam and JEE ranking are also considered. college's atmosphere is very nice. Environment is very nice.

Before coming to SMIT I got a choice from many different colleges of India,but I preferred for SMIT because of the pure Environment,facilities,Studies ,etc.Here I got many things to learn regarding my course,Industrial Visit's,Workshops, Enhancing my confidence level.Faculties here are too familiar with the students,even no coaching too require if a child is preparing for any RESEARCH,facilities help the child to grow well
