This college has great infrastructure along with experienced and supportive teaching staff and non-teaching staff.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Education loan from SBI is a preferred option as it has tied up with IIFM. The education loan can be easily availed.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The total fee for the PGDFM is 6.24 lakhs including the Hostel fee. The mess fees is around 50000 for 10 months. The first installment for PGDFM 19-21 was Rs374400. The revised fees will be updated soon. Since, it is a residential course so there is no need of commutation expenses to be incurred.

College Events :

IIFM portrays the best example for unity in diversity as it is known for its vibrant culture. IIFM celebrates every festival like Diwali, Id, Christmas pongal, Holi,lohdi etc with full vigour. The students studying in IIFM come from various states. Currently, there are students from 22 states pursuing their Post graduation from IIFM.

Campus Life :

Life at IIFM is just inexpressible in words and it is a full medley of cultural, sports, drama,literary activities. IIFM conducts one annual Business fest called colescence and a cultural fest called Kalpatru wherein Institutes from all over India register their presence. There are various clubs and committees like Cultural club, Public relations club, Alumni committee, Nature club and drama club which organises various fun filled activities and competition from time to time. IIFM is the best example of "learning by doing".

Alumni/Alumna :

Being a member of Alumni club of IIFM, I want to say that IIFM has a strong alumni base and it's alumni are it's assets who are also the potential recruiters for IIFM. The Alumni have taken the culture and legacy of IIFM forward and had spread it across the country.

Faculty :

The experienced faculties who have been teaching for 15-20 years now impart a great deal of knowledge and skills. There are various IFS officers who teach us and all the faculties are learned and unique in their teaching skills. They help us in clearing doubts after the class hours. They guide us in assignments and projects.

Admission :

I got admission through XAT score, though IIFM accepts both CAT/XAT score for it admission process. After getting shortlisted through CAT/XAT score, you have to write a SOP followed by interview process. After the interview process, the list of selected students are called to take admission.

Placement Experience :

IIFM has a record of 100% placement since it's inception in 1988. Alums of IIFM are working in various sectors ranging from microfinance to consultancy to NGOs. Companies like WWF, UNICEF , EnY, KPMG, etc have come for placements and internships.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is divided into 6 trimesters with 2 field exercise in each year and 1 summer internship of 2 months duration. This course believes in experiential learning whereby we are exposed to field visits to different sectors inorder to get the broad idea of how industries work, how NGOs work and to study the current government policies and schemes. This course is very well designed that give you ample opportunities to apply the theoritical concepts learned in class in real life.

Ques. Which one should I choose for PGDM between GLIM, GIM, FORE, LIBA, NIBM, IFMR and IIFM, Bhopal? And why? I already have calls from GLIM, GIM, FORE and accepting calls from others also.

Ans. First of all these B-Schools are the top most B-Schools in India. All of them offered PGDM programs in various specialized areas. Among these seven BSchools out of which GIM, NIBM, and IIFM Bhopal are the sectorial institutes that are offering PGDM programs in 4-5 specialized subjects. Given below is a few of the important information about the seven B-Schools which may help you in choosing an institute. Faculty: All of these colleges have highly qualified faculty members. GLIM, FORE, and GIM have the highest no. of faculty strengths which is more than 50 whereas IIFM has 35 well-experienced faculty members. LIBA, NIBM, and IFMR have the least number of teaching members such as more than 10 members. The maximum number of teaching members are designated by the associate professor at these B-Schools. Placement statistics: The placement report of 2020 for each of these B-Schools is provided below. GLIM: In 2020, approximately 45 companies were visited during the placements process. 50% of recruiters are from IT sectors such as Deloitte, Salesforce, Hexaware, IDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, etc. GIM: 69 companies were visited throughout the placement process such as Asian paints, Signify, Puma, Reliance, etc. FORE: Around 36 students received PPOs and 75% of students got placed in 2020 placement. The recruiters such as HCL, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, etc. came. LIBA: 40% of recruiters were from the consultancy sector and others were from banking, analytics, etc. Reputed companies such as Cognizant, Deloitte, Amazon, Kindle, TCS were the recruiters in the 2020 placement process. NIBM and IFMR: The number of recruiters during the 2020 placement process was 70. Some of them are Accenture, HCL, Genpact, Aviva life insurance, etc. IIFM Bhopal: Most of the recruiters are from the banking and environment sectors. IDFC Bank, Dharma life, Axis Bank, BFIL, etc. came through the placement process. Ques. Approximately what percentile in XAT is required to apply for IIFM Bhopal?

Ans. There are no sectorial cut off marks of XAT for admission into IIFM Bhopal. If the candidate holds a minimum percentile of 70-80% of the XAT entrance examination then he/she is able to get an interview call from IIFM. But there are also other management entrance scores that the IIFM Bhopal accepts such as CAT and GMAT scores. Admission process: The Indian Institute of Forestry Management offers PGDFM, PGDSM, and FPM. The admission into some programs is done on the basis of national level entrance score and some of the other courses admission is based on the performance of WAT and personal interview. Admission criteria for PGDM: The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT/XAT or GMAT score and WAT performance. Only shortlisted candidates are called for an interview and on the basis of the performance of the interview, the admission is done if the candidate's name is displayed in the merit list. Admission criteria for FPM: The candidates who are eligible have to go through three stages such as screening test, presentation, and personal interview. If the candidate qualifies for any one of the following, he/she directly gets a call for a presentation and personal interview. CAT/XAT or GMAT score CSIR/UGC NET score (scorecard not older than 2 years) GATE score (scorecard not older than 2 years) ICAR (scorecard not older than 5 years) FRI score (not older than 2 years) Candidates passed with PGDFM or PGDSM with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. 3-5 of work experience with regards to forestry management. The final selection process is a presentation and personal interview. On the basis of all the admission criteria, the candidates are selected for admission which is usually up to date on the IIFM website. Ans. From the last two years, there is no group discussion (GD) level for admission into IIFM postgraduate programs. Before the 2018 batch, the authorities of IIFM conducted both GD and PI levels but now it is up to date. Here is a little information regarding the admission process and eligibility criteria. Admission criteria: There are 10 no. of specialization programs and also for every degree program, the eligibility criteria are a little different which are described below. All the candidates who are applying for postgraduate, diploma, and M.Phil courses, must be 50-55% aggressive in any discipline. Students applying for the FPM program should have a CGPA of 3.0 in CS/CA/ICWA. Candidates must possess a CAT or XAT score in order to seek admission into PG Diploma courses. CSIR/UGC/ICAR NET score card required to have who are applying for Ph.D. Selection procedure: The admission of candidates applying for PG diploma courses is based on the XAT/CAT or Valid GMAT score which is conducted by IIM along with that they need to qualify for a written aptitude test (WAT) conducted by IIFM. The selection procedure for the M.Phil program is only based on the performance of the written aptitude test. Admission for Other programs like FPM and Ph.D. is based on entrance score, WAT, and personal interview. Following is the weightage for all the selection parameters. Written aptitude test 20% Entrance score 50% Personal interview 30% Those who have crossed the cut off marks obtained in WAT are called for an interview. WAT syllabus: M.Phil & PhD program: WAT must be on any abstract topics or pure aptitude based. Most of the aptitude questions come from English grammar, analytical part, and natural resource management aptitude. PG diploma & FPM: The syllabus content for the PG diploma entrance examination involves the following parts. Ans. Yes, you should, if you really want to build your career towards nature and sustainability. IIFM contributes a great education platform towards nature and the environment. IIFM provides proper training to work with corporate, policy-makers, and different civil society organizations. The details about IIFM related to different programs and facilities provided below. Programs: IIFM offers various degree programs on forestry such as post-graduation, diploma, and MPhil. Some of the specialized programs are as follows. PGDFM (postgraduate diploma in forest management), Duration: 2 years PGDSM (postgraduate diploma in sustainable management), Duration: 2 years FPM (Fellow program management), Duration: 3 years Admission criteria: For PG Diploma, M.Phil, FPM programs following are the information regarding admission: PG Diploma: The candidates need to have graduated with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any discipline. A valid CAT or XAT score is needed to take admission for any specialized PG diploma program. M.Phil & Ph.D.: A candidate with 55% marks in post graduation/diploma or its equivalent degree in forestry/agriculture/environment/life sciences. Infrastructure: IIFM has a great infrastructure, providing an air conditioning library with a collection of 312 firms on forestry, management, environment, and conservation. Sports facilities are available on campus such as football and basketball sports areas and many indoor games like table tennis, carrom, etc. Also, hostels of IIFM are fully furnished for both boys and girls. Faculty retention: There are more than 30 teaching members who are skilled and experienced in various areas of forest management and the environment. Ans. Indian Institute of forestry management (IIFM) is a sectorial institute which is located on a hilltop of Bhopal. It provides a residential course so that students can explore the mainstream sector of forestry, the environment, and natural resource management.
