Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development offers MBA to applicants, however, it does not require students to take the CAT entrance examination in order to be eligible for the program, which could be a point of concern. While the institute does have a large lush green campus, a plus to attract a lot of students, here are some of the other points one could consider before applying for the MBA program offered here: Rankings: The institute ranks 11th in the top 50 B-Schools in India according to Chronicles of Career and Education. It stands at the 37th rank among the top 15 private MBA institutes in India according to Outlook Icare India MBA ranking. Eligibility: The institute offers MBAs in Event Management, General MBA, International Business as well as Hospitality Management. It charges a fee of INR 2.25 lakhs for the first year. Eligibility for all of these courses is a graduate with 50% or more in any field. SC and ST applicants may have a capping grade at 45%. Students are also required to submit BMAT scores as well as GDPI conducted by the university. Placements: IMED has a placement cell known as the Corporate Resource Centre responsible for offering job opportunities for students. About 150+ companies visit the university every year and it has an incredible record of 100% placements. Here, MITSOM tops IMED in all categories. Moreover, MITSOM also offers a diverse variety of students coming from different countries and states. This course is good for getting management exposer. The faculties are not in more volume but they do manage the college. The teaching method is more theoretical based, but ppt and case-studies are also conducted. The term exam was held every 6 months and attendance criteria for 75% are them but a student with less attendance can manage it if they attended some classes and have a genuine reason for less attendance. The student who attended college regularly can easily pass the exam.
