eligibility criteria

The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The bachelor degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary, schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Admission Guidelines

  1. All candidates seeking admission to LBSIM will be required to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT).
  2. Besides CAT/Current GMAT Score, candidates are required to register at LBSIM.
  3. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT/ Current GMAT score will be called for Group Discussion (GD), Extempore, Written analysis test and Personal Interview (PI) for final selection.

Course Description

Students can obtain the application form and brochure from the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”. Also, students are advised to submit the application form along with common entrance test fees of Rs. 1000/- excluding processing charges and taxes

  • Separate application forms have to be submitted for each programme.
  • Fees should be paid online through Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any branch of Indian Bank.
  • If documents found to be forged at the time of admission then university have rights to cancel the seat of the candidate.
  • There will be no rounding-off for the percentage of marks of qualifying examination.
  • Incomplete application form will be rejected and no request will be entertained afterwards.
  • Candidates should upload the filled in application forms and following enclosures through online mode only.

Enriching yet fun

Fees -

It is the cheapest among all colleges in the same tier. During my time, the fees was total Rs. 5.25 lacs for 2 years and hostel fee extra. While, at the same time, colleges like Fore, IMI charged more than 8-9 lacs and even more. The food is also cheap in the canteen, and other expenses are also limited.


Course Curriculum -

The course was panned out nicely, especially in 2nd year, where the emphasis is more on case studies discussion and presentations. Good corporate interactions, and interactions with various senior industry officials. Overall a good learning experience.

As per 2016 admissions Fee structure for PGDM-General is 9,00,000 that has to be paid in 4 instalments in a time period of 2 years. It is pretty nominal and cheap as compared to other top private b-schools within India. The hostel is not within the campus but a km away that charges about 60,000 annually.

Course curriculum involves all management subjects. The pedagogy is completely based on the application and practical knowledge. We are given regular case studies and articles to study. Apart from the academics we have club activities that involves a lot of work and tasks to be done. It allows us to learn pressure handling and helps us develop our managerial skills.

The fees can be considered Medium as compared to other Business schools. the total fees comes below 10 lakhs to be paid in four installments. Its quite feasible as the college runs on trust based expenses. Its quite cheaper than other colleges in its segment. For two years of course its approx 9-10 Lakhs (complete course) exclusive of international immersion programme and for executives its 3.5 Lakhs exclusive of international immersion programme.

The course structure is very suitable for the programme i am enrolled in. They are basically focusing more on research and analytics part to introduce its students a better career forum in current market scenario. They believe more in practical knowledge rather than the theoretical concept.

Fees -

Feasible, and that the best part of it. It was approx 3 lac fees for two year curriculum in 2007. Now it might have reached 5 lac but I believe it might still be on the lower side among the peer group

Overall Course curriculum was really very good, however how much you can make out of it really depends on your efforts. Competitive mindset and industry outreach perhaps the best thing out there in their curriculum.

LBS fees was very affordable as compared to other institutes at that point of time. Fees was approc 2.5 Lakhs excluding hostel/stay. College did not provide accommodation at that point of time.
