The college is the best in every aspect, from academics to non-academics. The premise is fully equipped with the best of the facilities, which actually helped me focus on me. The gymnasium, hostel accommodations, and the low fee structure gave us hassle-free student life.
My college holds the best of the infrastructure and placements for each of the final year students. Apart from this, the students were also given the opportunity to demonstrate their inner ability by participating in various events. Thus in every parameter college was the best.
As this college situated in Haldia, a industrial city, so this is a polluted area the industrial wastage are mixed in the atmosphere and polluting the area. But this college has many positive aspect like the colleges rules and regulations, the extremely good teachers and our principal is a great man. This college one of the best college in West Bengal.
In my opinion, the college is pretty good for students. The faculties are excellent, overall fees structure is low and the college has a really good environment for studying. I shall give this college 8 out of 10.
Haldia Government College (HGC), Medinipur was established in 1988 by the state government in the erstwhile Midnapore district. It is the only government college in Purba Medinipur district. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate Degree programs in various fields of Arts and Science streams. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University and Netaji Subhas Open University. The programs are approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). It has well qualified teaching staff having years of experience in the field of education and industry. The Institute has separate accommodations for girls and boys with all modern facilities.
HGC has Career Counselling cell, sponsored by UGC that organizes counselling workshops for students every year. This cell also organizes interactive sessions between students and various professionals to give the students an idea about different kinds of career opportunities. The main objective of the college is over-all development of student in terms of personality, communication and professional skills development. The placement cell regularly arrange personality development programs, mock interview, training and industrial visit for student.
