Hansraj College - [HRC] Recent Admission Alerts and Updates

Second Admission Lists for PG courses admission at DU have been released on Nov 25, 2020. Qualifying applicants can complete the admission process by Nov 27, 2020.

DU has released the Special Cutoff for UG Admission 2020 on November 23 for those students who could not take admission before.

DU releases First Merit List for PG courses on November 18, 2020 for both Merit and Entrance Based Admissions. Lists for Buddhist Studies, Linguistics, M.Ed, M.Sc Informatics, MA Economics, etc have been released.

Hansraj College (HRC) was established in 1948 and is one of the top 10 colleges for Science, Commerce, and Arts in India. HRC offers UG, PG, and Certification courses across the streams of Arts, Science and Commerce. Since this college is affiliated to DU, the seats will be allotted based on the cutoffs released by them. The selection will be based on merit. The application process must be done online.

Hansraj College Scholarship

The college has a Student Welfare Committee which conducts annual meetings and provides scholarships to over 100 students based on factors like income, merit, background, etc. Teachers and the management donate money which will be used for scholarships and prize issuing of deserving candidates. Over 50% to 100% fee concession is given.

  • Scholarship for the Enabling Unit: Two awards of INR 5000 and INR 3000 are given to the deserving students every year by the College Alumni Association.

  • Library: A vast building is dedicated to the library only, consisting of over 1,35,000 books and 98 periodicals along with an internet facility. They even have a book bank for needy students.
  • Canteen: A dedicated Canteen Committee looks after and supervises the working of the canteen. It can accommodate over 150 people and has various multi-product outlets for students.
  • Sports: This college offers both Indoor and Outdoor sports facilities. This is one of the few colleges in the country to possess an indoor badminton court and an indoor shooting range. They also have a huge sports ground and basketball court. They also have a Yoga room.
  • Laboratories: This college provides the latest apparatus for the better performance of laboratory activities. This facility is centralized and each department looks after their respective laboratories.
  • Hostel: This college offers this facility only for boys and can accommodate over 200 UG boys. It provides a gym, wi-fi, and mess facilities within the hostel.

        I always wanted.to get into SRCC, but my score was just 2 marks short of the SRCC cut off in my admission year. Hence, I was left with 2 options, Hindu or Hansraj. Hindu has better fests and overall reputation, whereas Hansraj has better faculties and crowd because the strength of Bcom students is around 250 here, which gives diversity in the course, Hence I chose Hansraj. The admission process is very simple, I got my admission in 2nd cut off, it was announced on 30 June, I went to college submitted my original documents for verification and paid the fees online, everything was done and completed within a day and I was finally in DU.

        "Hansraj - Perfect place to study and enjoy"

        I always wanted.to get into SRCC, but my score was just 2 marks short of the SRCC cut off in my admission year. Hence, I was left with 2 options, Hindu or Hansraj. Hindu has better fests and overall reputation, whereas Hansraj has better faculties and crowd because the strength of Bcom students is around 250 here, which gives diversity in the course, Hence I chose Hansraj. The admission process is very simple, I got my admission in 2nd cut off, it was announced on 30 June, I went to college submitted my original documents for verification and paid the fees online, everything was done and completed within a day and I was finally in DU.
