Xavier Labour Relations Institute or XLRI was established in 1949 in Jamshedpur. Recently it has got approval to expand its academic function, by admitting students at their AICTE approved New Delhi campus. XLRI New Delhi campus is set to welcome its first PGDM-BM & HRM batch for the 2020-22 session.

XLRI Admission

All admissions are based on the entrance exams like XAT for domestic students and XAT / CAT / GMAT for NRI students. This is either followed by WAT or GD / PI. Also a minimum work experience required in most of the residential program admissions.

The Final Recruitment process saw participation from 108 recruiters with 362 domestic and international offers, inclusive of 24 new finals recruiters. Other details are as follows of students who got a placement:

  • The batch received the highest number of offers made through PPOs: 43% of the batch | No. of new recruiters: 24
  • The median salary offered to the batch saw an increase to INR 23 LPA from INR 21 LPA in 2019.
  • The average salary saw an increase to INR 24.30 LPA from INR 22.35 LPA in 2019.
  • Multiple domestic offers at INR 50 LPA from the BFSI sector.
  • The highest international offer stood at INR 58.5 LPA from the S&M domain.
  • The top segments based on roles offered were Consulting, Sales & Marketing and BFSI.

XLRI Facilities

The institute offers various facilities for its students and staff members in terms of research, knowledge and supporting their academics. These facilities are as follows:

Sir Jehangir Ghandy Library:

Established in 1949 only, includes a wide variety of literature based on Management. At present, there are 69,000+ books, 21,000+ ebooks, subscription to 15 newspapers & 25,000+ e magazines / print magazines / journals.

Smart Classrooms

Around 12 smart classrooms, designed for modern education. The classrooms are like amphitheatres which can accommodate 70 students. There are closed-circuit recording and playback lecture sessions available.

Residential Accommodation

There are four blocks, two for males and two for females. Each block consists of 400 AC rooms, well connected with LAN and WiFi and students can opt for single or family accommodation exclusively for GMP students. 

Sports Facilities

Sports facilities for students include a grass football field, tennis/basketball and beach-volleyball court of international standard. SC Sarkar Gymnasium for indoor badminton. Plus swimming pools, squash courts and synthetic athletics track.

Hostel Accommodation

This is available for BM and HRM students. There are 384 single rooms in total. Out of which 22 are for FPM students, 151 for GMP students and 250+ rooms are for boys only.
