Jesus and Mary College (JMC), New Delhi, established in 1968 is a constituent college of University of Delhi. This institute is run by the Sisters of Jesus and Mary Congregation which was originated in France in 1818. The Institute has been imparting higher education in the Arts and Commerce fields. Jesus and Mary CollegeAdmission

The Admission process in JMC is quite simple. Being a minority institution, the common form doesn’t work here. Candidates should first apply on the University of Delhi centralized portal, thereafter fill up JMC admission form.

JMC Admission to the undergraduate program in JMC, like everywhere else in DU, depends on the percentage of marks obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent

JMC Admission is performed after an initial screening of qualifying marks as mentioned by aspiring students at the time of application.
After the screening, the merit cum cut-off list will be released by the university. Students have to report in the respective colleges along with marks sheet & other desired documents where verification of documents will be performed.
After completion of admission formalities, college authorities will update the admission status of the student on the UG admission portal. The students will then require paying the admission fee in online mode till 12 noon of the next day.
Students who could not be able to take admission in the first cutoff of Delhi University could be considered for admission in the subsequent merit lists provided seats are available in the college or course.
After the publication of the fifth cut-off list, the college will publish the number of vacant seats course & category wise on the website.
Students applying under sports category and ECA category shall be required to appear for trials along with all original documents/certificates as per the schedule.

The college started off with only one reputed company and today there are around 36 reputed companies. Jesus and Mary are one of the prestigious College of Delhi University with wonderful infrastructure. It has a big green ground with Beautiful flowers that provides the college with enough aesthetic to get perfect clicks. An open gym is available for all to remain fit while studying. The College provides placements from many companies such as Deloitte, ICICI, E&Y, KPMG, Accenture, PwC, WIPRO, TFI, Brain & Co., etc. The highest package reflects from Rs 5-7 Lacs per annum. Apart from all it, JMC have many societies such as drama society, dance society, a singing society, etc. Many events are held frequently. The major one is the fest, "Montage", witnessing over thousands of people.

I took admission through the Delhi University portal in June, and had to send in a separate application to the college itself, as per JMC guidelines. After the first cut-offs were released, I carefully examined my options for my course of choice, that is English Honors, and then tried to match the colleges with NIRF rankings. JMC was ranked in the top 30 colleges in Delhi for English, and hence I decided to take admission there. When I arrived in college to submit documents for admission, I was glad to see that the student volunteers and teachers were very friendly and helpful, and I made up my mind then to continue here instead of migrating to another college.

Reality of JMC

There are a lot of good features like the faculty of Economics is really good. The infrastructure of the college is good. The various societies in the college are good and give a lot of exposure as compared to other colleges. The college fest is awesome here. Since it is DU there are no ACs in the classroom so it suffocates the classes. There are many floors on the campus and lifts can not be used by the students. I preferred this college because it is in the south campus and situated in one of the good areas of Delhi. It is in Top 10 colleges of the Du lists.
