There were no placements give for BA students except some 2-3 girls which sucked as we were not informed properly. The placement cell is ruled by our sociology teacher and it was such a bad excuse for a placement cell. The college made me lose sight of my plans.
None. From a student's perspective, the nature of the College atmosphere was feasible and good education. Though it was important to get more grades. And much emphasis be put on studies. The necessity was on scoring the percentage as against research-oriented.
I got admission by merit list. The admission begins with the academic year. Since it was state syllabus I opted for science subjects. I chose the College because the conveyance was easier. The admission begins with the July Cycle. I studied here from 1998 to 2000.
I chose this college based on my friend's reference and the one thing which I liked about this college is tat it is a women oriented college. They gave importance to girls education being as equal as the other gender
We have visited 5-6 companies during our study. They have offered 300000 per annum salary package for around 4-5 students. In the 4th sem we are sent to different companies for project work if they are satisfied from work that particular student is hired the next year
We first had to purchase a form. Next dad we had to face an interview wherein they see your pre-university marks and the course that we have opted for. If they are satisfied they just ask you to proceed if not they suggest some other course according to our pre-university marks.
We have something known as continuous internal assessment. Which comprises of our class test marks, mid semester exams marks and other assignments and attendance. Only after we pass this Continuous internal assessment we are allowed to write the final exam.
Yeah, the college is good with in-house accommodation for non local students. Good faculty with certain exemptions.
I'm a distinction holder in my PUC, therefore I got in due to my merit. Not a hectic procedure though. 1) Fill in the application form. 2) Submit necessary documents such as 10th and 12th marks card, conduct certificate etc. 3) Attend the interview with the college counselor. 4) If found eligible, then you get a on spot admission.
No bad remarks as per me as the college is good in all aspects
Normal application submission and merit list selection. There is no additional influence and political influence for the selection process. First come first in basis. Self explinatory steps displayed everywhere to avoid confusion in the admission process.
The fee is quite high and it keeps increasing every year for no reason. The facilities are also a bit low. A bit more facilities can be provided. There should be scholarships for other students coming from outside Karnataka
It was all based on the marks/merit. No entrance was there. The admission committee talked to me like they did to every other student. They checked the marks I had scored. Then I was told to pay the fees.
The college as a whole in amazing place to go to for studies as well as activities. It brings out the talent in every student the teachers are also very motivating and helpful and guide the students in every step that they take. Over all jyoti nivas is am amazing college to go about to study and build a future.
I got through the interview rounds it's not that lengthy as a process. When I had been for the interview I wasn't asked much questions also the teachers there clearly explain about the college and the coarse in detail which makes it easier for the student to decide the coarse.
College is very good for extra curricular activities and also for academics. They have accredited by NAAC with A grade. And ugc provided fund this year for college. So they are improving their infrastructure with that.
For msc organic chemistry 100% placements are there. The companies for placements will come at the end of fourth semester. They will provide 45 days of internship during tha course. The internship can be in house or you can do it from outside industries.
Now the college is upgraded with CCTV cameras,Website for attendance which can be accessed through parents,Students and management so that they can be kept in traxmck for better studies.
As i heard that Jyoti nivas college is the 2nd toppest women's colleges in India. Many of my friends,Relatives have told that Jnc is the better choice for studies. I myself wanted to know why was it awarded the 2nd best colleges,So i choose to study there..
