Kirori Mal College Admissions

Since the college is a part of the University of Delhi, there is a centralized form of the university available on its official website i.e., www.du.ac.in. Candidates are required to fill the online admission form and upload the prerequisite documents. They can choose their college as well course preferences. Students are expected to wait till KMC releases their first cut off. Every year, in the last week of July, the college releases its first then second and third respectively. As per the cutoff requirements, eligible candidates can directly report to the college for verification of documents. 

Eligibility Criteria
Admission is based on the basis of merit list by calculating ‘Best Four’ - one language subject and three best academic/elective subjects. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks will be considered for admission.

Kirori Mal Scholarships

There are various scholarships that are offered by the college. Few of them are listed below:

  • Students belonging to Scheduled Caste/Tribe are eligible for the Post-Matric Scholarships of Directorate, Delhi Administration, Delhi.
  • Students who have obtained first division (60% marks or more) in their public examination can apply for a load through college under National Loan Scholarship Scheme. 
  • Financial Aid in the form of fee concession is also available to deserving students.

Kirori Mal College Facilities 

The college offers various facilities for students. Some of them are as follows: 

  • Library: The college consists of the most extensive libraries in Delhi University. It has 1.5 Lac books and can accommodate 350 students. The library has subscribed to 52 journals, 32 periodicals, and 16 newspapers. 
  • Laboratories: It has modern and well-equipped laboratories for all science courses – Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. 
  • Central Computer Lab: It is a fully air-conditioned facility that enables the students to update of the changing trends in both academia and industry.
  • Hostels: There are a total of 89 rooms that can house about 150 students from India and abroad. It provides all the necessary facilities such as Wi-Fi, Mess, common room, dining room, medical facilities, etc.

Kirori Mal College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi which was established in the year 1954. It is located in the North campus of the university, New Delhi. Ques. What is the fee structure of Kirori Mal College?

Ans. The fees structure varies as per the different categories of the students who apply every year. In general, for the General category, students have to pay INR 11,000 for the studies. Foreign students will need to pay up to INR 15,000.

Ques. Which college is better, Kirori Mal or Hindu College?

Ans. Solely in terms of academics, Hindu College is known to have an edge over Kirori Mal as the ratio of seats is less in Hindu. In terms of teaching, both colleges have excellent faculty members. Both the colleges are leading and have good infrastructure and hostel facilities. 

Ques. Can a candidate apply for both ECA and sports quota at KMC?

Ans. Yes, a candidate can apply for both ECA and sports quota while applying in the DU application form. It should be done on the same application form. 

Ques. How will the cutoffs be decided at KMC this year since all Board papers have not been conducted?

Ans. The cutoffs for the admission into UG will be decided by the Delhi University only after the 12th exams are held and results declared. The candidates have to keep checking the official website for further updates.

        All the teacher in college are research scholars and highly qualified. The curriculum is relevant to the field. 70% of campus placement is there with a minimum of 7 lacs pm average salary.         KMC, DU is no doubt is one of the top 10 rank colleges in the north campus of Delhi University. Apart from its high reputation, the faculties here are also too good and the crowd is also way much good. Though some students (like me) won't be liking the elections part of the college that too get compensated as these activities become a source of entertainment for us ;) DELHI UNIVERSITY offers admission both on the basis of Entrance and Merit. I got admission through the Merit mode in the Third Admission list of UG in the month of July.         After passing 12th board with reasonable marks I wanted to do basic sciences courses therefore I searched for KMC. It has a very nice campus area with greenery all over the campus, the faculty is also very good and sports and other facilities are also good. KMC has many societies like dance, singing etc. The only thing I felt not good is the sports ground area It is good but not large like other Colleges.         After passing class from CBSE, I was searching for a college for graduation then some of my serious and family cousins suggested to me about this college. What I like the most about this college is here's supportive teachers who advise u you most in all activities. there is a big library where u can continue ur studies without any disturbance.....so basically taking admission to this college will definitely not disappoint u.

        Kirori Mal College is one of the highest-ranked colleges for B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics. The online classes are well organized and systematic. The crowd, the campus, and the teachers are awesome. The teachers are very helpful and experienced. It has all the features that one aspires to get in DU - the life of North Campus, cultural activities, societies, placements and co-ed college. The only drawback in this college is the lack of a girls hostel. It is well known for its cultural activities and fests thus providing more exposure and experience.         "A very good college and having wide range of opportunities"

        After passing 12th board with reasonable marks I wanted to do basic sciences courses therefore I searched for KMC. It has a very nice campus area with greenery all over the campus, the faculty is also very good and sports and other facilities are also good. KMC has many societies like dance, singing etc. The only thing I felt not good is the sports ground area It is good but not large like other Colleges. Admission is based on merit, and forms are provided online on DU website.
