Ujjain Engineering College, Ujjain was founded in 1966 by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh & formerly renowned as Govt. Engineering college. It was established with the vision to improve the technical education in India. It was Intiated with only three branches (Civil,Electrical & Mechanical). In 1986, Electrical & Chemical Engineering were introduced. Mechanical Engineering branch of the college is considered to be one of the best in the state of Madya Pradesh.
