I have heard so many good things about this college and mathematics is my favourite subject. That's why I choose this course. In our mathematics Dept student: lecturer= 15:1. The teaching style is too good. There are some professor and some newcomer staff too. Professors had PhD whereas newcomers had only PG qualification. It's semi-govt. College and it comes under Utkal University. Exam questions are tough. For +3, there is 6 semester. Per 6 month, there must be 1 semester.
The course is divided into 6 semesters, with 2 sems each in the 3 years bachelors hons course. There are 2 hons papers in first and second year, and 3 hons papers in third year. The syllabus is more theory based and less mathematics based which was a disappointment because most entrance exams in future will lay emphasis on mathematical aspect of Economics. The faculty constitutes of the best Economics teachers of Odisha like Mrs Sadhana Satpathy, Mrs Mousumi Das, Mrs Lipsa Mishra etc.... And the faculty student ratio is 1:12 . The term exams are of 20 marks each , and semester exam is of 80 marks. It is very easy to pass the exam but not easy to score exceptionally well because the marking is average for Arts subjects.
Little expensive for me as that time our family was not in good shape. Don't remember my exact fees amount. We paid it in the fees counter of college. There was no additional fees to get admission. Everything was given in it's brochure. There was transperancy in fee breakdown.
Course curriculum was good for commerce and it helped in creating a strong base for me to take up accounting profeesion at present. All 3 years we got practical training for tally accounting application which is quite helpful to get any job in accounting line
I choose Psychology as my honours . 1st f it's a very interesting subject to do so more .. I just kept it for the best guidelines about Psychology. Our HOD was very loyal . And was a very dedicated prof to us. She took the classes as much as possible and also took the extra class for our extra knowledge development. 2ndly it's a practical sub . So we were got very funny moments when we do the practical. And had seminar . We just gave the seminar .. Among this , the faculties also had good to us. And so much inspiration for us . That's it
I want to become a physics lecturer in future so i take this course.there is so many preparation for pg course. There is about 2000 students read in this college. I m proud of this college.the teaching method is very good in this college.faculty system is so qualified.overall experience is good.
I was a history hons student. The course was easy. The faculty was very helpful. The processors were the best. They helped out every-time we students needed them. They always motivated us and helped us write our exams.
The college follows the CBCS Curriculum and provides a compact but informative syllabus to the students. The college has smart classes as well where the teachers shows ppts etc. The library is equipped as well and has books of Indian as well as Foreign authors. My department has the most amazing faculty. The professors go to the depth of each topic and give us knowledge from out of the syllabus too. They are quite friendly and are available to us even after college hours and help us in any way we need.
Physics is very interesting. And also I like that's why I prefer. There were 40 -45 students in our batch in Physics Hons. There were 2 exams in a Year
Syllabus is very much updates like income taxes, gst, accounts, all amendes accounting standard and indas.faculties having 20 to 30 years of teaching experience are there.so ita overall a very good college.
It's a govt college. So one should expect the fees to be a bit lower. We pay like 2. 5k each year as our fees. Admission fees is 3k for basic sciences. But self financing courses charge a bit higher. They take like 20k annually. Fees are paid online through sbicollect.
I can't say about other departments. But the physics department in bjb college is quite good. There are 6 professors to associate with us. A fine lab and separate seminar library for physics. The gradation system is according to CBCS. It's a NAAC A graded college. Examination system is very good. They try to test the true potential of student. Exam system is according to UGC.
