Maitreyi College Admission

Admission to the college is merit-based. The college provides a timeline during which all eligible students should register for the admission process. After the deadline is completed, the shortlisted students will be informed about the admission process

How to Apply?

Apply online at the centralized admissions portal of the University of Delhi.
A list of cut-off marks will be declared as per the announced schedule.
Students must choose their desirous College and Course according to the declared cut-off.
Verification of students' mark sheets and other documents. Subject to a successful verification, admission will be approved by the College.
After the approval of aspirant admission, payment of fees must be done. After successful payment of fees, students will be provisionally admitted to the college.

The placement cell organizes annual internship, job, and career fair with over 50+ companies on board and 100+ students being placed in their likely companies. Maitreyi College Scholarship

Delhi University takes a competitive examination in October each year for the award of the All India Entrance Scholarship of INR 250 per month or as per University guidelines tenable for three years to students of B.A. (Hons.) and B.Sc. (Hons.). Various scholarships are provided by state and central governments to help the poor and lower-caste students.

SC/ST Scholarship: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Tribes are awarded scholarships by the states to which they belong.
PwD Scholarship: Fellowship exemption of fees waiver is INR 8001 and above per month. No fees waiver and no hostel subsidy.
Sports Scholarship: Scholarships and freeship, are given based on performance and achievements in sports.

The college has created a number of facilities for the students taking admission to Maitreyi college, during their tenure of education with the institute. The following are the facilities provided by the college:

Library and Reading Room: The Library block is located in a spacious two-storied building. The library has an extensive collection, which includes print and non-print material as well as e-resources like CDs, DVDs, e-journals, e-books. The library has a collection of more than 97,887 print books and 671 CDs. The library also covers 6,000+ e-journals and 31,35,000+ e-books.
Laboratories: Four of the Science departments have been awarded ‘STAR’ status by the Department of Biotechnology. The College has 15 very well-equipped laboratories for practical subjects like Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Physics.
Bookstore: The College bookstore offers a wide selection of texts and other books. Various stationery items and mementos are also available.

Infrastructure is good. Teachers are amazing. Labs are fully equipped. The admission process is based on merit. I referred to College Dunia before taking admission. I also referred to shiksha.com for reviews and fee structures. The college is near Satya Niketan. Hostel construction is under process. Pgs are available near the college. JMC is opposite the college.

The teachers are so good and by seeing the campus, it's so beautiful. The teachers are very helpful and will guide you throughout the journey. One can ask anything even if it's related to entrance exams. I opted this course beacuse I want to do something in a field of business and I'm loving the subjects as teachers made it very easy to learn.

Maitreyi College, even after being a part of the South Campus, is a lone wolf. We are away from the campus life but it’s nothing that a ten rupees auto ride can’t make right. Maitreyi College has many lawns in the campus that not just serve as hang out spots for the girls, but sometimes are also used as alternatives for classrooms. Pros and cons of Maitreyi College, DU.

I was drawn towards the location and facilities in and around the college. It's in Chankyapuri one of the most posh, elite locations of Delhi, it felt very safe and secure. The college was under top 10 science colleges at that point of time, seniors and professors were helpful. One bad thing about the college is the cleanliness of the toilets, anyone would expect a girl's college to atleast have that but I was shocked to see that was not the case. The labs and classrooms were nice, although there were many extra curricular activities but somehow science students were looked down on if they prioritized anything over or close to studies, so I would say less chance for young girls t...
