The MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) was established under the prestigious MIT group of schools in Pune. The college has recently become the third institute in Pune which has been awarded with ‘Academic autonomy’ by UGC. On top of that, the institute has been accredited with A grade by NAAC and also by NBA for all it’s programs.

The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and research. It has started offering Design courses from the academic session 2020-21 as well.

The courses offered by MITAOE are B.Tech, B.Des, and M.Tech. It also accepts lateral entry in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

MITAOE Pune Admissions

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the admissions would only be conducted through online mode.

To be eligible for admissions for all the B.Tech courses, the candidate needs to secure qualifying marks in MH CET/JEE MAINS, which is then followed by counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

To be eligible for admissions for the M.Tech courses, the candidate needs to secure qualifying marks in GATE which is then followed by counselling for the exam conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

Note- The MH CET 2020 has also been postponed due to the current COVID 19. The new dates haven’t been announced yet.

MITAOE Pune Placements

The training and placement department of MITAOE is quite impressive and boasts of an excellent placement record.

Library: The central library of MITAOE provides access to a vast number of resources to students in a bid to expand the knowledge base of it’s faculty and students.

The library houses more than 11,000 titles and 48,000 volumes. The library encompasses a huge collection of journals, magazines, e - books CD - DVDs etc.

It also has the facility of a digital library with a large number of e - books, online journals, video lectures, e- resources, exam related materials etc.

The library has also subscribed to video courses from some notable digital learning platforms such as NPTEL, SWAYAM and National Digital Library.

Sports: The college has a strong foundation for sports owing to its multiple sports facilities.

The college has the facility for many outdoor and indoor sports such as badminton, carrom, chess, football, volleyball, table tennis to help the students stay fit and inculcate sports skills in them.

The students also regularly take part in inter college, intra college and inter departmental sports competitions.

Hostel: MITAOE provides hostel accommodation for boys in the premises. The hostel has 120 rooms with an intake capacity of 240 students.

The hostel is well built, spacious and provides all the basic amenities such as RO drinking water, round the clock security, gymnasium, hot water facility and cafeteria.

There is also the provision of primary first aid and counselling for the staff and students when required.
