Motilal Nehru College Admission

Applications to the courses are accepted online only through the official website of the University of Delhi. Admissions are based on a variety of criteria.

For the undergraduate courses, admissions are based on the merit achieved in the qualifying examination, and weightage is given to certain subjects as per the specializations.
For postgraduate courses, admissions are entrance based. Candidates must appear for DU PG Entrance Exam and admissions will be made through the centralized counseling conducted by Delhi University.

How to Apply?

To register for the UG courses, candidates must follow these steps:

Visit the official website of Delhi University.
Register and create your login credentials.
After successful registration, click on the “Apply Now” button.
Fill all the eight sections of the application form correctly.
Upload all the required documents.
Review the application form and proceed to make the payment.
Pay the application fee through any electronic payment gateway, viz. Net Banking/ Credit/Debit card.

Motilal Nehru College Scholarships

The college grants scholarships to six students based on excellence in the University Examinations. These scholarships are decided by the governing body of the college.
A merit award will also be given to a student of B.Com (Hons.) 1st year who scores the highest marks in aggregate in all papers and first position in the college. Other details of the award will be put up on the notice board of the college for the session.

The college has a very active Placement Cell along with the Career Development Center which looks into the placement for its students from all streams. The scope of work of Placement Cell extends from organizing Resume Workshops to providing internships to students in various organizations during summer breaks and preparing students for the final placements for the Jobs.

Library: The College has a rich collection of books, journals, and periodicals. At present count, the college has 1,07,586 volumes. The library subscribes to about 86 periodicals and magazines of scientific and general interest. It also has more than 22206 books in the book bank/student aid fund section.
Canteen: The canteen provides a variety of dishes at subsidized rates for students and staff members of the College. The canteen is located in a beautiful corner of the campus with both indoor and outdoor seating. The students can use the canteen facilities during college hours.
Medical Room: The College has a medical room adequately equipped to meet any medical emergencies in the College. A qualified and experienced medical doctor is available in the medical room from 11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M. on all working days. Students can avail of this facility free of charge.
Conference Hall: The College boasts of a state-of-the-art conference room that can seat a hundred people. The room is equipped with the latest audio-visual and multimedia equipment. The College has hosted numerous national and international conferences and seminars in this room.
Wi-Fi Campus: Motilal Nehru College is a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus with free internet access for every student of the College. Every student of the College is provided with a unique username and password enabling him/her to access internet connectivity on all supporting devices.

Despite not being in top Delhi University Colleges, I feel like it is a decent College with well experienced teachers and an amazing and big campus. The societies are extremely efficient. The commerce society, the Combrosia is in top 10 commerce societies of Delhi. The theatre and dance societies have also gained significant positions. Satya Niketan is very near and is an amazing place to hang out. The office is very cooperative and the classes are big and comfortable.

It's one of the best colleges in south Delhi, the science faculty of Motilal is also very good. It is the only college in the south campus where girls can also join NCC. It also has a beautiful campus, canteen food is also good, teachers are also supportive, have a good social life. But the crowd is not much good as you expect.

I chose this college because this college is one of the best college on the south campus of Delhi University and also it has the least fees as compared to all the DU Colleges. The college is great in terms of infrastructure. It has everything ranging from a huge library, a large sports ground, great canteen and a computer lab.
