The professors are highly qualified. Initially the exams were conducted on a regular basis but with time the frequency decreased. It was not that tough to pass the exams.
Our every teachers are well qualified and they are really very cooperative .
They always help us and teach us in an advanced way.
Our exams are in semester based and it's an autonomous college.
The main papers are selected by the university so it's really difficult for us to pass the exams, but out teachers are really teach us in an advanced way, so till now we don't face any problems.
The syllabus is updated and well constructed. The result of the college over the past decade is excellent in one word. Faculties of all the departments are very renowned and Professors are Quite reputed.
The syllabus was updated two years back by Calcutta University. The faculties of all the departments of Asutosh college is very reputed. Professors are highly qualified and share a very good relation with all the students. The result of the college is quite good too.
My opinion on this course is that this subject is a very interesting subject, and it has a lot of exposure therefore I believe this subject has a long future. Nowadays many students are actually interested to study it though it is a little difficult subject but has a huge prospect. Our syllabus in Calcutta university is huge so it becomes difficult for the students to complete it, but still I feel happy that my college faculty is very good.
The required fee for my course ie Journalism and mass communication is around 25k per year. The subject is a bit costly. But whereas courses like Sociology hons has got the fees around 7k. The college accepts online payment, offline payment and bank transfer.
Course Curriculum -
The course curriculum is mainly divided into practical and theory based. The teachers/ professors here are very helpful and guides throughout. The syllabus is mainly based on the syllabus by Calcutta University. The labs are well equipped and one is continuously monitored while working on a project.
Fee structure is very low and regulated by Calcutta University. Course fee is under 2000 per year.Comparing to the colleges and universities the fee strusture is very low as it's a partially government college. Where as in other college in calcutta who are below ranked the course fee is quite high.
Course Curriculum -
The course and exam structure is guided by Calcutta University. It's relevant and up to date. Very interesting and a deep research work. It gives you a thorough understanding of English literature.Starting from the old English literature pattern to modern English literature. The course is justified and relevant.
Asutosh is affiliated to Calcutta University and currently follows the syllabus made by the university. The syllabus was updated, rather newly formed under the CBCS system by CU, two years back. The faculties of the college is very reputed and renowned.
Yearly and in budget. It is cheaper in Kolkata. Yearly it was around 5000 rupees for B.Sc mtma. But it differs from stream to stream. Like more fees for subjects having use of practical laboratory like physics, chemistry computer science electronics.
Course Curriculum -
3years course, 1 +1 +1 basis. Exam is conducted by the University but the practical exams are conducted in the college. The teachers and staffs are helpful always. They guide in a decent way to do better in papers. Libraries are also good, the annex library is better.

From our year, the choice based credit system (CBCS) was started. So the course of 3 years is divided into 6 semesters with multiple papers in each. The syllabus is fairly updated but the industry exposure is very limited. The faculties are quite knowledgeable.
