Nizam College is one of the oldest educational institutes of south India. Established in 1887, Nizam College is a constituent college of Osmania University. The college offers courses in Arts, Commerce, Science & Social Science disciplines at both UG and PG level. The courses are available in a variety of different streams. Nizam College, Hyderabad Admissions

Nizam College follows the guidelines prescribed by the state government higher education authority. Candidates seeking admission in UG courses have to enroll on the DOST, Telangana platform.

How to apply?

  1. Candidates first need to register on the official DOST portal.
  2. In the pre-registration process, candidates need to register using aadhar card and generate a DOST ID which will be used in further registration steps.
  3. After registering, candidates need to pay the registration fee. 
  4. Candidates are required to print the allotment letter and then submit it to the required institute.
  5. Now the candidates need to fill the application form exercise web options.
  6. Candidates now need to purchase the prospectus from the institute.
  7. Fill and submit the application form in the prescribed institute.

Nizam College, Hyderabad Scholarships

Nizam College provides scholarships in tuition fee waiver for students with poor economic background. The candidates falling under the category with annual income below INR 2,00,000 are eligible for the scholarship. Such students are required to pay a nominal fee of INR 600 per annum. Candidates are required to register and fill the online scholarship form along with necessary documents. Candidates will be awarded scholarship on the successful approval of the scholarship form.

  • Auditorium & Halls: The institute provides a centrally air conditioned auditorium hall for holding seminars and training sessions having the capacity of 200 students in it.
  • Health Care Center: The institute also has a well equipped health care center to deal with medical discrepancies of students.
  • Labs: The institute provides well equipped computer, chemistry, zoology, botany and FYIC air conditioned labs.
  • Library: The institute has a huge library with thousands of books, the library offers a well lit environment and seating facility.

Ques. Can students from outside Telangana apply for admissions at Nizam College, Hyderabad? What is the registration fee for DOST?

Ans. Yes, students from outside Telangana can apply for admissions to Nizam College. Candidates will first be required to register themselves on the DOST portal for admissions. The registration fee is INR 200 for application which is payable via online mode.

Ques. What percentage is required to get a seat in any B.Sc in Nizam College, Hyderabad?

Ans. For B.Sc, it was very tough competition in nizam college, especially B.Sc (Maths, Physics & Computers). Minimum marks one need is above 97% to get admission. Some people who secured 98% marks also didn't get seats sometimes in the first counselling due to high cutoff. Moreover, cutoff for each subject combination is different. Students who satisfy the minimum cutoff marks will get admissions easily.

Ques. Can students from other states avail scholarship benefits at Nizam College?

Ans. No. Students from other states are not eligible for scholarships at Nizam College. Only home state students with poor economic background and valid caste certificate can take advantage of the scholarship scheme. Moreover, candidates whose family annual income is less than INR 2,00,000 are also eligible for various SC/ST and other category scholarships.

Ques. Candidates not having aadhar card can apply for the DOST application ?

Ans. No. Candidates not having a valid identity proof such as aadhar card are not eligible for successful registration. An aadhar card attached to contact no with correct details is necessary to generate DOST ID. Candidates must also have other necessary documents for successful registration.
