The curriculum is up-to-date and ensures we're learning with reference to contemporary scenarios which keeps us well-versed with our classroom studies and social circumstances. Vidhi Mehra has been teaching here for a year now and does an excellent job at explaining concepts and theories with absolute clarity. Studying Gender Studies under her in TY is an absolute bliss.
The professors are highly qualified with a PhD degree and some with masters. The college has a good student-mentor ratio. In one batch there are around 30 to 40 students. The curriculum is very appropriate since the college is now autonomous. Theories and practicals are conducted effectively. Exams are semesters wise whereas there are assignments and other basic tests taken on a weekly basis.
I opted for Bsc Computer science course. My first 2 years fees was 28k per year. But after the college became autonomous they charged me 48k for the final year. They didnt had any reasons nor we saw any improvements in the college. But it is manageable thab other autonomous colleges.
I am a bsc computer science student. The department of computer science is well known and good. The professors are highly experienced and friendly. Most of them graduated from the same college. The syabulls is very different and challenging from other colleges.
Fees for the courses offered by the university of of Mumbai are reasonable. These courses are subsidised by the government. There are few courses such as mass media are self funded which are quite expensive. there are few other charges for apron lab fees etc.
Yes, course is very extensive and research oriented. In final year you have to work on a research problem which provide you to work on acquire essential skills required in industry. In 1st year you have 6 papers on three subjects. Mine were chemistry, physics and botany. You drop 1 subject in 2nd year and have three papers of any two of the 1st years subject. In third year you have 1 subject with 6 papers.
The fee structure is as per govt. Rules. its under shekhawati University. so University decide about fee which is taking from students. the fee is also as cast category. General should pay more obc pay less and sc/sc pay as nothing. Its about 2000 of rupies to pay by general.
Exams are in same college. No cheating no frods. All teachers are good of behaviour. Exam was organised in may month. all students provided admission card by College authority. Exams are very good. Sitting facilities are also good. there was a good nature for studies.
Fees for my academic year was around 9000-10000 which includes all the fees except the books cost and the field visit cost, all the fees breakdown is seen on the receipt clearly. Sometimes the college do charge for extra curricular activities in which not everyone is participating
Frankly speaking course curriculum, syllabus and everything is not at all used for being a better professional, the syllabus every year is almost the same just changed by higher language of science, there is nothing that can give an individual help for industrial specific knowledge, these syllabus are not at all use for placement.there where field visit and excursion organised which was very useful.
Feasible fee structure with concession for reserved category students. Fees are paid online on the portal specially designed for payments. No additional fees are required to pay for securing admission. The Fee receipt provide fee-breakdown as decided by the University.
With Autonomous status, college is trying its best to make the curriculum more relevant and research-driven. All students from B.A. Course have to complete 6 semesters. No. of papers vary as per each semester. Each paper in every Semester (100 marks) is evaluated on the basis of External Exam (60 marks 2 hrs), Internal Exam (20 marks 1/2 hr) and Assignment/Project (20 marks). But still it lacks the professional skills required for present market conditions.
The fee structure is quite feasible. There is complete transparency in the fee-breakdown. There are also freeships, scholarships, concessions, etc. for underprivileged classes and girls. My program fee was around ?5000 for General/Open Category(girls). Initially payment was accepted through cash or online platforms and DD in certain cases, however now payments are accepted only through online platforms. No additional fee/charges are demanding in order to secure an admission to any course. Admission is based on merit.
The course curriculum adopted by the college is fair and relevant but not research-driven to a great extent. No industrial visits were made, no industry-specific knowledge was provided as such and no on-campus placements were provided by the college at least till SY.
The most affordable college in the whole of India with the best facilities being provided. Back in 1999-2004 the fee was approx. 1200/ annum + laboratory fee of 1000/ annum. If there is any breakage of chemestry lap apparatus then charges extra. But it's still affordable. The college also provides free education for underprivileged under the right to education.
Since the college is affiliated to Mumbai University the course is pretty much the same as other colleges. What makes Ruia stand apart from other colleges is the discipline. All lecturers are too serious and strict when it comes to studies. They make sure you attend every class and not bunk lectures. During a free period it is made sure that the students are in college library practising extra sums and getting ready to face the world. Back in 2004 there was no concept of campus placement. But passing out of Ruia held a good amount of weightage on the resume. As the interviewer got a confidence that a Ruia pass out can do anything. Now the curriculum has changed a lot so lot of important is g...
Ruia is a government aided College hence the fees here a lot cheaper compared to other colleges. Some part of the fees are to be paid during the admission process. Freeships and scholarships are provided by the government to the students that reduce the amount of the fees to be paid.
After the college got its autonomous status the marks were divided into a 60- 40 pattern where 60 marks where given for normal semester exams was 40 marks for internals. The topics on which the 60 marks question paper was based to cover all the main and basic components of each subjects. In the second year these subjects were later divided into 2 papers. To procure the internal 40 marks students were made to write and submit analysis on the subjects, give presentations and write an internal 20 marks exam. Finding answers thourough surveys or enacting plays for literature classes wad also encouraged.
