Check DU SOL Course and Fee Structure
Aspirants can apply online for all courses on the official website of SOL, DU. Students belonging to the EWS and EOS category also have the option to apply offline and submit the application form directly at the campus.
To apply for undergraduate courses, candidates should have passed class 12 from a reputed board. Applicants having a graduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum required marks from a well-recognized university or institute are only eligible to apply for masters courses.
Admission of eligible candidates to all the UG courses is done on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination. Admission to PG courses is done through an entrance test which is conducted by the University of Delhi. Those who have completed their graduation from DU will be admitted on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam.

Application form cum prospectus can be obtained either from the Main Center at North Delhi Campus or from the South Study Center at South Moti Bagh, New Delhi on payment of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST/PH) In the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘The Executive Director, School of Open Learning, University of Delhi’ Payable at New Delhi as the application fee.

Ques. Can I do DU SOL to DU Regular?
Ans. Yes, students having an extraordinary score in DU SOL exams can transfer in DU regular mode. Admission will be granted in the same subject only.
Ques. How many days do we have to go in DU SOL?
Ans. DU SOL classes are conducted on Saturday and Sunday of every week, but there is not any compulsion of attending classes regularly. Candidates can prepare for the examination by themselves and appear only at the time of the exam.
Ques. Which one is better, IGNOU or DU SOL?
Ans. DU SOL offers only a few courses, namely BA, BA (Hons.), B.Sc, B.Com, MA, M.Com. While the span of IGNOU courses is wide. IGNOU offers a total of 226 programs that consist of various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in distance mode.
IGNOU also has the advantage of 56 Regional Centres(RC), 11 Recognized Regional Centres (RRC) (i.e., 6, IGNOU-Army RRC, 4, IGNOU-Navy RRC 1, IGNOU-Assam Rifles RRC) and nearly 2000 Learner Support Centres across the country.

Ans. Candidates preparing for UPSC examination can definitely opt for DU SOL courses as once/ twice a week class schedule is good considering the time required for preparing for UPSC.

Ans. DU SOL and DU regular degrees are recognized by UGC and are good enough for any job. Hi Harpinder, yes, the university offers BA Hons in Journalism. Admission will start from May 18, 2019 (tentatively). Selection will be based on the marks scored in 12th class.
