The college provides good teaching staffs. That helps in the providing guidance as well as suggestions. There is no suggestion for improvement as the notes, the suggestion everything is top notch and helpful
The new nep system for my subject microbiology is quite relevant. it is supposed to have internship and research according to 4-year program. the syllabus overall is convenient. teaching method is good and faculty are well advanced.
I always wanted to do my higher studies related to biology. And microbiology is the best of all . But one thing it would be really better if our faculty members gives us more practical classes and extra classes like all the other departments
The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.
In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
Microbiology is a blooming subject although it would be fair to say that you would get a better job if you pursue your profession career abroad (UK USA)but with the upcoming of various biotechnological startups the demand of microbiologists is increasing at a farely high rate. You can pursue your career in the food industry and quality check industry with very high paying jobs Microbiology is a practical based subject and during your 4 year course you'll be taught the several methods of culturing bacteria ,viral assay and so many more real life technique So basically the 4 year degree is bsc microbiology consists of 8 semester .Each semester is of 6 months each until and unless some very genuine problem arises.Though the difficulty of the university exams is not that high but the checking is very strict.you must be thorough with your syllabus and be in touch with the subject and the syllabus .if you're consistent you will score good
The college, being affiliated to Calcutta University, follows the CBCS curriculum and the professors are really amiable and masters in their fields. They teach really well and are always active on the matters of helping students with anything.
I like zoology so I took the course. The student ratio is boys : girls is 10:28. The teachers are very helpful. The semester take place after evey 6 months. The examination is moderate. One can easy pass if he or she study 1 month before exam.
The course gives a massive opportunity to enter a corporate world and a good career option. Also it's the best course for the one who loves accountancy or wants to opt for chartered accountant course The faculty is good with helpful surrounding , also there are good and helpful teachers. The exams where held twice a year with a gap of 4 months almost and the difficulty depends on the paper also vary year to year but generally paper is always quite standard.
I chose the schools because I want to attend the UPSC and WBCS and basically this course is interesting and the faculty student ratio is really nice We have got really good qualified faculty who are study from abroad and a really very well trained. The teaching method is very easy and helpful. The terms were standard that makes you prepared for that university examinations.
The admission process was time consuming because of too many list and waiting time period. No admission test was taken. If one have decent score in board exam like 88 percentage and above then it can get easily admission in economics hons
DCBy - Debojita ChakrabortyThe admission process was fully online and convenient. eligibility of my course is above 75% in PCB subjects in 12th grade. online application and everything related to admission is available on the website. Exams are twice a year. A year consists of 2-semester exams. admission process is very easy and described on the college's official website.
PNBy - Pritiva NayakFor taking admission in Scottish church college you should have atleast 90% best of 4 in your 12th boards(although it will slightly depend on department to department). You will get all the updates from the college website itself There is no partiality in the admission process If you have merit then obviously you will get chance to study here. There is no entrance exam to get into this college, it will totally depend on your 12th boards result (best of 4)
