Shri Ram College of Commerce commonly known as SRCC was established in the year 1926 and is affiliated to Delhi University. It is located in the north campus of the university.

With an NAAC accreditation of A+ Grade, SRCC is considered to be one of the best colleges for Commerce and Economics in the country and has been ranked #1 by India Today for 2020.

There is no separate entrance examination for admission into UG courses, however, there is an entrance test to be taken for PG courses. The UG admissions are based on merit in the qualifying examination.

SRCC Admissions

The admission of a candidate into the UG courses of SRCC is merit based, and depends on the scores of 10+2 exams of the candidate. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% of marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

Admission into postgraduate courses depends on the rank DUET. The college does not have its own entrance exam.

For PG Diploma courses, there are 2 additional rounds, the group discussion and the personal interview.

Application Procedure:

UG and PG candidates:

Visit the official website of Delhi University and create a profile.

Fill up the application form carefully and submit the marks obtained in 10+2 (UG)/ enroll for the entrance test (PG)
The cutoffs will be calculated based on the marks of the entire student pool. 10+2 marks for UG, entrance test marks for PG.

Eligible candidates should visit the college and get their documents verified post which admission is granted. The students should then pay the admission fee.

PG Diploma candidates:

Visit the college website and submit the application form and documents for the entrance test - https://www.srccgbo.edu.in/
The application for PGDM has to be done on the college website, NOT on the DU portal.
Selected candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview. Crack it!
Merit list will be prepared, eligible candidates need to visit the college for verification of documents.

SRCC Cut-offs

The cutoffs for the general category for both the undergraduate courses have been increasing every year since in the past one and a half decades.

The cutoffs for both the courses are at an all time high with the number being at around 98%.
The cutoffs for 2019-2020 admission for B.Com. Hons. for the general category round 1 was at 98.5% and for B.A. Hons. was at 98.75%.

SRCC Scholarships

The college offers the following scholarships to meritorious students as well as students who demonstrate financial need:

Student Union Scholarship: Merit scholarship of INR12,000 in the second year of study is awarded.
Alumni Association Scholarship: Need-cum-Merit scholarship of INR 12,000 in the first year of study.
Envision Scholarship: An amount of INR 18,000 p.a. is awarded to a student of B.Com. (H) III year for securing highest marks in the second year.

SRCC Facilities

SRCC is one of the best colleges in India in terms of infrastructure and facilities, at par with standards evident internationally.

Academics:

The classrooms at SRCC are centrally air conditioned, having ceiling mounted projectors.

The campus also has a state-of-the-art library, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 750+ people. There is also a separate tutorial block with air conditioned and WiFi enabled classrooms. There are also IT rooms with up to date software and hardware.

Hostels:

There are separate hostels for boys and girls on campus. The hostels have their own dining rooms, common area and washrooms. WiFi facilities are also available. There is also a provision for washing machines in case students want to do their own laundry.

FAQs

Ques. Are there any entrance examinations to be taken for admission into SRCC?

Ans. There is no entrance exam to be taken for admission into undergraduate courses. 10+2 results of CBSE or equivalent will be taken into consideration. For postgraduate courses, the DU entrance must be taken. For PG Diploma, the college has its own entrance test.

Ques. Can a candidate apply for both ECA and sports quota at SRCC?

Ans. Yes, a candidate can apply for both ECA and sports quota while applying in the DU application form. It should be done on the same application form.

Ques. My Grade 12 results are not out yet. Can I still apply at SRCC?

Ans. Yes, you need to register yourself under the “Results awaited” category. The mark sheets need to be uploaded as soon as they are received.

Ques. If I do not meet the first cutoff, should I apply again for SRCC?

Ans. No, you do not need to apply again to be considered for second and third cutoffs. All the candidates who have applied for the 1st round will be eligible for the other rounds as well. However, you need to apply for the course separately if you meet a cutoff.

Ques. Are there any compulsory subjects for courses applied to at SRCC?

Ans. Yes, mathematics in 10+2 is a compulsory subject to apply for any of the two undergraduate courses offered, along with other courses as per the UG DU Bulletin.

Ques. What is the syllabus for the entrance test for admission to SRCC?

Ans. The detailed syllabus and pattern of the entrance test is given in the bulletin board of the official website of Delhi University. Please find the bulletin here http://du.ac.in/du/

Ques. How will the cutoffs be decided at SRCC this year since Board exams have not been conducted?

Ans. The cutoffs for the admission into UG will be decided by the Delhi University only after the 12th exams are held and results declared. The candidates have to keep checking the official website for further updates.

Hi Akshay, To register online for the SRCC B.com programs:

Go to the DU official website and create a new login profile. To create the profile:
1. Click the link Link to Admission Portal. Read the instructions carefully and click OK.
2. Click the New User Sign Up tab.
3. Fill the registration details, such as Contact Number, Email, Username, Password etc. and submit it.
4. Verify your account by clicking the link sent to your registered Email ID.
Log on to the admission portal using your login credentials to fill up the registration form.
1. The registration form has various sections, which need to be filled up carefully as applicable for the candidate.
2. The candidate need to choose the course of their choice.
The entries can be saved by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the page.
1. The entries can be edited by clicking Edit, if needed.
In the Mandatory Upload section, the candidate needs to upload the required documents.
Once all the required files are uploaded, the candidate can preview the application. Changes, if needed, can be made to all the sections by clicking the section name. All the changes should be saved by clicking the Save button at the bottom of each pages.
Candidate need to pay the online registration fee, which can be done by using Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card. After the payment is done, click the Print Form button to take the print out of the submitted application for further use.
