GITAM School of International Business (GSIB), which was formerly known as GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade (GIFT), was established in the year 1997 in academic collaboration with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India). GITAM stands for Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management which is the parent Institution of GIFT / GSIB.
GITAM was started in the year 1980. Subsequently, when GITAM was declared in 2007 as a Deemed to be University, under section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, GSIB was brought within the ambit of GITAM (Deemed to be University) and declared as an autonomous School of Excellence in International Business, in recognition of its academic leadership in International Business in the Country. All Programmes offered by the School are UGC approved. GITAM is accredited with “A+” Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), UGC, New Delhi. GITAM was given Category I status by UGC, Government of India.
International Collaborations of GSIB
GSIB offers two-year full-time MBA & one-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) program and PhD research program. GSIB Admissions to these courses are Entrance Based.
MBA & PGDBA
Any Graduate (after 10+2) from a recognized University with 50% Marks or Second Class or equivalent CGPA is eligible to apply. Those awaiting results of Final Year Degree examinations may also apply
Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce/ComputerApplication/Economics/Business Administration/Engineering/Technology at Under Graduate level or Post Graduate level is compulsory for admission into PGDBA.
GET (GSIB Entrance Test)
Candidates having a minimum score of 55% in their Master’s Degree Examination (Relevant Stream).
