The college was established by the Government of Gujarat in 1964 and was affiliated with the Sardar Patel University. In 1972, the college was then affiliated with the Gujarat Agricultural University. Currently, the college is constituted with Anand Agricultural University. Indian Council Of Agricultural Research has given their accreditation to the college. 

The College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in many subjects of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. Courses like Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry(B.V.Sc & A.H) and Masters and doctorate degrees are offered. College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Anand Admissions

Admissions at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry are offered on the basis of ranks scored in the entrance examination and marks scored in the qualifying examination.

Undergraduate Programme - Admission for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science(B.V.Sc) & Animal Husbandry are offered on the basis of marks scored in 12th standard and Gujarat Common Entrance Exam scores. A combination of both is considered. After the merit ranks are released by the counseling takes place at specified colleges under Anand Agricultural University.

Postgraduate Programme - Admissions for many streams of Masters of Veterinary Science(M.V.Sc) are offered on the basis of marks scored in previous examinations.

How to Apply?

  1. The first step is to do basic registration. Candidates have to fill in information such as Name, Gender, mobile no, Email Id, and password. An OTP is sent to the filled-in mobile number which is to be used to complete the basic registration process.
  2. The next step is to pay the application fees. The fees can be paid by Net Banking/Debit card/Credit card.

  2. Candidates have to choose preferred centers of the examination nearest to them.
  3. They have to upload scanned copies of Passport size photographs and signature of the candidate.
  4. After the entire form is saved and submitted, candidates have to take a print out of the application form.

After the university releases the merit lists, candidates have to appear for the counseling session. This is applicable for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. After getting admission to their preferred college, candidates have to pay the fees to freeze their seats. Documents required at the time of counseling session are:

College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry Scholarships 

The government of Gujarat offers scholarships to the scheduled castes and minorities and every institute that comes under it has to follow the same scheme while assisting. Following are the Scholarships offered to the students:

  1. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana

Candidates who have a family income of less than 6 lakh per annum who have got admission in degree courses can apply for this Scholarship. The candidates should have scored more than 80% in previous examinations.

  1. Post SSC Scholarships for Girls and Boys(NTDNT)

Candidates belonging to the NTDNT category having family income less than 1.5 lakh per annum who wish to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs.

  1. Clinical Complex

This facility sees 9684 cases of medical and surgical Treatments. All clinical diagnosis of Cows, Buffaloes, and other animals also takes place. The patient's home is a complex that has space for 16 large animals,12 small animals,50 birds.

  1. Hostels

The college campus has in total 5 undergraduate boys hostel, 1 postgraduate boys hostel, and 2 girls hostel. The hostels also have mess facilities and TV rooms. The rooms are cleaned every day and all the facilities required are available.

A reading room is also available on campus for students. Computers are available in the room which can be used by the students in their free time to study their preferred subjects.

The college also has many research stations on campus used for basic and complex research.     According to me. This college for veterinary in Gujarat is Unique at all, first, I decide to choose this course and then I found this college. My college is good for both practical and theoretical knowledge. After the study, we decide about civil exam and GPSE but our college gives this exam information and preparation from the 3rd year and also its admission process and reporting is easy with less fee. I will call students who want to take veterinary are requested to take admission in my college because of all facilities and good faculties for education.
