When I took admission here, I had to fill out an admission form including all my personal and academic details. The college assessed my application and granted me admission on my merit. Normally the students are admitted on the basis of who is best eligible for the course.
Our college has opened an independent job portal wherein students can register themselves and get regular updates regarding any vacancies available throughout their academic years. This is a great initiative by the college and also the most flexible and feasible mode of receiving opportunities so far.
I applied online on the official website of SASTRA University. I filled in the detailed application form and took out a printout of the same. The filled application form along with the self-attested copies of 10 + 2 marksheet, certificates, etc and DD of Rs 200 name of the university is to be posted universitie's address. After receiving the document and their verification the university grants admission in the program. I opted for this university because it was offering a specialised diploma in Vedic Mathematics which I was looking to pursue.
The real truth is that for distance education students almost none of the university offers much assistance in terms of placement and the same goes true with this university as well. Most of my batchmates who are doing this diploma are doing it is an additional course to support their skill set. Most of the courses that are offered by University in distance mode are like that except the M.A. program. Internship is not mandatory as a part of the diploma.
The timings are usually 9 AM to 5 PM with free hours in between, teaching is good and mostly by experienced faculties. SASTRA is very friendly.
Candidate will be selected on the basis of intermediate exam marks or JEE MAIN exam score. No separate entrance exam is there.
