NKJ Ayurvedic Medical College was established with an aim of promoting Ayurveda and the ancient Indian system of Medicine. It offers graduation and post-graduation degrees in Ayurveda. It helps in developing a newer scientific outlook to our ancient and time-tested methods of treatments in accordance with Ayurvedic fundamentals.

Admission qualifications for B.A.M.S

  1. Students must have passed the two-year P.U.C. examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent therein with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of the relevant science subjects (physics, chemistry and biology) of the second year P.U.C. examination are eligible for admission to B.A.M.S. Course. Preference will be given to candidates who know Sanskrit.
  1. The Candidates who have passed the B.Sc. Part–I Degree examination of any University or equivalent examination conducted by statutory Universities or Boards with science subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology ( Botany and Zoology) and secured 50% of marks in the aggregate are eligible for admission to 1st BAMS course, provided the candidate has passed the PUC examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as one of the languages.
  1. Candidates who have passed the B.Sc degree examination of any University in India or recognized as equivalent thereto with any three (3) science subjects with 50% of marks in the aggregate are eligible for admission to the BAMS Course provided they have passed in the deficient science subject (s) namely – Physics, Chemistry or Biology (Botany and Zoology), and English as one of the languages at the Pre-University or B.Sc Part -I level. However, in the case of students belonging to SC/ ST and category – I of Karnataka State, the minimum requirement in percentage of marks for admission to the BAMS Course is relaxed by 10%.

Minimum age for admission : 

Candidate should attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December of the year of admission of the BAMS course.

Eligibility criteria for admission in post-graduation

A candidate affiliated to this University and who has passed final year B.A.M.S. examination after pursuing a study in an Ayurveda Medical College recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, or from recognized Ayurveda Medical College affiliated to any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by RGUHS, and has completed one-year compulsory internship in the teaching institution or any other institution recognized by C.C.I.M. for internship, and has obtained registration of State Ayurveda Practitioners Registration Board / Ayurveda council, shall be eligible for admission.

NKJ Ayurvedic Medical College Facilities

For the undergraduates 

The college has full-fledged 14 departments provided with highly qualified & experienced teaching faculty. The teaching and training aids such as models, exhibits, charts, specimens and audio-visual aids like slides, transparency sheets, audio & videocassettes, CD’s, OHP, LCD Projector and full-fledge system in each department are available in the college. A departmental Library is also maintained in all the departments.

For post-graduation

Separate departments for Postgraduate studies in Shalya Tantra, Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga, Pancha Karma and Sharir Rachana are fully equipped with all the necessary and requisite infrastructures.

In hospital doctors are serving it has nostalgic history of being initiated by his highness Shree Shivakuamr Swamiji, who constructed the hospital to serve the general public. Many philanthropists donated liberally for this noble cause. The hospital started functioning from 1991. Thousands of people have availed the services available in the hospital.
