I personally have never tried to talk to seniors but as far as I have seen my friends and heard from them, the seniors are also very helpful and not at all bossy. They have been helping some of my friends with internship guidance, notes and references.
The faculty of this college is amazing. Teachers are very helpful, friendly and cooperating with students. Also for students who do not know marathi language face no problems in this college because teachers help those students very patiently and converse in their preferred language.
My admission to this college has been a blessing because I have witnessed the most polite and supporting teachers who are not biased on any basis and are always ready to help. The ambience of the college is also nice. Special reference to the office staff, the office staff is super polite, helpful and supporting and they are very joyful and always cheer you up.
Through the entrance exam for all law colleges in Maharashtra. Name of exam is MHCET law, Maharashtra common entrance test. We get marks out of 150 which are not negatively marked, and then on the basis of the scored marks we get ranks. Each student gets the preferred college according to his/her rank.
The fee of this college is very very genuine and affordable for all. The annual fee goes around 8-10 thousands rupees for BaLLb. The exam form fee which is to be submitted every semester before the exams are conducted are also based on the subjects. The fee for 5 subjects is approximately Rs.1000.
The college offers the scholarship facility. This scholarship is given on the merit basis to the students who can not afford to pay the fee of the college. The academic performance of these students is analysed and then the scholarship is granted in the merit basis to them.
The college does not provide the internship to the students specifically, but the faculty helps students with their various doubts regarding the internship. Usually students work without stipend but in case they have a good CV and have achieved a good knowledge they may get a stipend of 2000-5000 per month.
National Seminars - the college conducts various seminar in the college itself open to all students and working individuals to gain more knowledge regarding a topic. Each time the seminar is conducted on a different topic for example if once it is Law and Liberty then next it will be something else, Intellectual property rights. Moot court competitions - college organises moot court competition open for all law students and colleges. Annual Day - to promote co-curricular activities like dancing, singing, playing an instrument, drama etc Acting or Drama competition Fresher's party Essay writing competition Debate competition etc.
The college has the best legal library in Pune. I personally have seen people from other colleges borrowing the books from our library, getting them photocopied because they could not get the book anywhere else. The library of this college is very old and consists of some the very rare and precious books. College also handles the sports department very well and students have won various titles for college in different sports activities.
BaLLb, earlier and underestimated course has now been emerging as most chosen option for law pursuing youngsters. The new rules made by our government has increased the requirement of lawyers. This course doesn't require graduation but is an integrated undergraduate course. The exam is conducted by the University to which the college is affiliated i.e Savitribai Phule Pune University twice every year.
