Abeda Inamdar Senior College Admission

The admission to the College is based on merit and in compliance with the rules and policies of the University of Pune. The admission is made very simple by making it mostly online. A brief idea about the admission process is given below:

  • Fill the online application form. The online application form link will be shown on the website itself.
  • Here, fill the necessary details carefully and after filling the form, take a print of the form.
  • Attach the required documents as mentioned in the form. Take the signature of the person in charge of admissions. 
  • Get the fee challan and pay the same in the bank.
  • Attach all the documents and fee challan receipt with the admission form and finally submit it.

The online process of admission runs smoothly as a different portal ‘Vriddhi Software’ has been created. It releases the merit list of the college as well as college admissions-related information.

The college has a placement committee which works dedicatedly to provide excellent placement opportunities to the students. Various companies take part in the campus recruitment drive and offer job opportunities to the students.

Abeda Inamdar Senior College Scholarships

The college is an amazing provider of scholarships to various categories of students. The scholarships are provided based on the family income and marks scored in their previous qualifying exam. There are concessions or scholarships provided by the M.C.E. Society. There are 15 freeships/concessions/scholarships provided to the AISC, Pune. Few of these are as follows:

  • Economically Backward Class (EBC) concession to those Maharashtrian families whose income is equal to or less than 15,000/- during the last accounting year.
  • Government of India scholarships to backward class students.
  • Scholarship to Physically Handicapped students; they must be having the PH certificate as well as must be Maharashtra residents.
  • Government of Maharashtra Open Merit Scholarship for those students who scored 85%+ marks in the SSC exam and a minimum 73% in the 12th class. 
  • Freeship & Scholarship for the children & grandchildren of Freedom Fighters. The scholarship/freeship is granted only on the submission of jail certificate/sanmanpatra.
  • The Government of India Merit Scholarship for the students scoring 85%+ at SSC examination as well as a minimum 73% in 10+2 standard.
  • Freeship for the children of fulltime secondary & Higher secondary teaching & non-teaching staff. This scholarship is given to those students whose parents are working full-time in junior college, secondary school, or higher secondary school recognized by the government.
  • Financial Assistance to poor and needy students from P.A. Inamdar Education Trust HGMAE Trust. This is provided to students scoring 65% and parents of whom are earning 15,000/-.
  • Various other concessions are provided to the families of poor and needy.

With a decent infrastructure, it addresses every possible need of a student. It has a well-built campus. The various highlights of the facilities of the college are mentioned below:

  • Library: A library consisting of two modern reading halls and a stack room. In 2018, it has a massive collection of 34,433 books and various e-books separately. It is divided into a different building in a multi-floor building having 24 hours Wi-Fi facility.
  • Canteen: A well-structured canteen is present inside the college campus which offers good quality food and has an adequate sitting arrangement as well
  • Hostel accommodation: The college offers excellent accommodation facilities for both female and male students. The hostels consist of spacious rooms and have a neat and clean environment
  • Computer labs: The labs are provided with high-speed internet and Wi-Fi connectivity. It contains printers, scanners, various modern hardware devices, etc. with a positive environment.

          Mainly because of the environment(like the attitude of the students and teachers). The admission process was easy but the office clerks are too slow and also they use phone for personal issues during office hours while the students are in line. The main reason I preferred the college was it was an Anti ragging college and the students are so friendly and welcoming.
