Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) is the single largest vocational training for the apparel sector in the country and probably the single largest training provider for any vocational trade in India and the single largest beneficiary or Nodal Agency for implementation of a Government’s skill Development scheme. ATDC has emerged as India’s largest vocational training network for the apparel sector with over 150 ATDCs including 25 ATDC community colleges and over 150 ATDC-SMART peripatetic centres and skill camps at present in major Apparel clusters spread across 20 states Pan India. ATDC’s vision is encapsulated in “Imparting Skills and Improving Lives” and its mission is to train skilled workforce for the rapidly growing export and domestic sectors of the Apparel Industry and upgrade the technical skills to improve quality, productivity and efficiency in a global context.

Placements

ATDC has trained 1,57,731 trainees since 1996 till 2013 and one lakh candidate during the pilot project period under ISDS of MOT, GOI with overall 75% placement in wage and self-employment.
