To become a good dieticion

Fees -

In my opinion, for the one-year diploma course, the fees structure is high which is 35000 approx. But this is the professional course and we get the chance to work in cooking labs so that it's ok with the fee. The cooking ingredients also provided by the staff so that the amount is good.

Course Curriculum -

The course curriculum activity was excellent we get the chance for attending the conference which is done in the hospital and we get the chance of participating in recipe contest which is inter college as well as intra-college also and the prices were also provided to the student to motivate them. We also educate the uneducated women to about health and nutrition.

For learning that is fun.

Fees -

The fee structure is very feasible given the college is a govt college one has to only pay around 10 to 12K a year the course is reasonable with respect to the fees but one has to spend a lot on files and projects. That is a major drawback for students coming from disadvantaged families but then they get scholarships and so the fees get reduced the fee has to be submitted twice in a year apart from the fees, one time examination fee has to be given.

Course Curriculum -

Home science has 5 major streams, Human Development, Communication and Extension, Food and Nutrition, Fabrics and Apparels, Resource Management. One has to study around 8 subjects including major and minor subjects. The minor subjects do not require a lot of preparation but major subjects being new and not in lines with Science, Commerce or Arts subjects studied in school days need some in-depth study. In 1st year the subjects are compulsory whereas from 2nd year one has to choose one major and two minor subjects from the 5 streams. The subjects are interesting and engaging the course allows to learn many new things that will make life simpler.

Fees -

Feasible. As far as I remember it was 10,000 for 3 months. However it can be further relieved by providing various scholarships. The fees doesn't really put a burden.

The Course Curriculum is such that I enjoyed every bit of it apart from few theory lectures. The practicals taught me the basic necessities of life and how to fulfill it.
