I loved my experience in Manipal and the with my course. It was mostly because the college always encouraged knowledge beyond the curriculum and classes which helped me as a person to learn more about other things. It opened more doors in the field of Media for me as it was a mixture of everything. The faculties were mostly very supportive, very knowledgeable and very approachable at least in my case. I always had their help wherever however I wanted. MIC is a small colleges with less number of students which helped me to know more people, exchange knowledge and learn things. There is no concept of superiority amongst the senior and junior students which made the environment very pleasant an...
The curriculum is very in line with the current requirements of the Industry. I can only speak for my specialization here, but the faculty that I have been taught by are all extremely dilligent and willing to go the extra mile for the sake of the class. However all specializations might not be the same.
The course is wonderful if you are person who is willing to work. Each sem we get to learn new subject like radio, viscom, reporting, how to print a newspaper and etc. The exam happens twice there will be one Sesionals for 25 marks and the other 25 will be an assignment the rest 50 will be the main exam this is same for both the semester.
Course structure is very well planned though there can be minor changes made. Exams here uses zero paper and pen, all the internals and external exams are done through e-pad system. Unlike other colleges this has only one internals per semester.
The course has a whole bunch of subjects which exposes us to the real and practical world. In our college, we prioritize clubs, sports, and academics on the same level. The faculty is great. Manjushree Naik is a hostel warden, a councelor for students and is a teacher who is precise in her work. She inspires many students to do better in life. I still am in MIC, and being a first year, I have had a lot of exposure. I know that I can do wonders after I finish pursuing my BA in MIC.
The fee structure is feasible for the general students. The quality of education provided compared to the fees is a good balance. The exposure and experience you get from the college are way different from that of any other college
The course curriculum is perfectly outlined in a way so as to help young adults to go out in the field to prosper and excel. It is designed in a way so that they teach you the required knowledge to gain and be successful in the industry.
The fee structure is very affordable back in 2015 when i joined the college the whole course fees cost me 1 lakh per annum. This was not inclusive of hostel fees and food court fees. The fees would have likely been hiked by now.
The curriculum is very broad and focuses on a lot of media related courses ranging from journalism, radio, film direction, photography, advertising and public relations. Students avan choose the subjects they want leading up to their major. Apart from this there are several subjects common for everyone like psychology, media laws and literature.
Fee was quite high in Manipal for the course. Still it is on the lower end when compared to other private colleges. For the whole first year, the structure was 1,02,000 in total. That is only for the first year and in the subsequent years it was 96,000 each. This is the details of fees of the year when I joined college. The fees keep changing, actually increasing, every year. But the fee is worth the course and the college because everything is of nice standards, both academics and the campus.
The course design is one of the better ones I've come across and I really like it. Compared to the curriculum of similar courses in other Universities, this is a more updated one. We get both theoretical and practical knowledge. I would say the course is 50% theory and the other 50% practical learning. Yes, there are research initiatives and the institute is continuing to develop its facilities for research further. Open electives I had for my course were Online Journalism, Radio Journalism, Public Relations, Film Making, Magazine Journalism, Newspaper Journalism, Animation. And for language, German and French. There is a lot of options right here in the electives and students are able to ch...
