Yes our college provides internship for every graduate. There no additional fees required except for the hostel fees. The stipend is around 5k-10k. I'm still not a graduate so I don't know the experience but I have seen interns that really help us and guide us during our postings.
It's all in all good. Except for the part that the mess is completely vegetarian and we miss eating non veg and can't always order cause we have a budget.
Yes the college provides scholarship. There are students who come from lower middle class families but on the basis of their knowledge the college gave them scholarship and made their education free and the books are free for them too. There are students who pay their fees through and the college completely cooperates into it
We have labs every day of our working hour since first year. It is tiresome but to get a bag of it, I think it's important. I don't even know how many times I've injured myself while doing my practical work but at the end j feel it's worth , I knew it exactly when I had a complete denture at the end of second year. Our practical work are really tough but it will help us shape our future so it's good enough We have four exams in one session. First there is first internal which takes place in 2 3 months after the beginning of new session. Then there is second internal after approximate 3 months . Then there is pre University exam one month before our final University exam
It is very affordable. Taking into consideration the huge amount of instruments that we need to buy each , the tuition fees makes it easy for us and not a burden. The tuition fees in my college for our batch is approximately 2 lacs and hostel fees is of 70k . This according to me is quite affordable because it makes it flexible for us to get the best instruments according to our choice each year. Every year it takes up almost 10k just on instruments
I entered through aipmt ranking into my college. There was counselling held among st all the other college that comes under Ayush University and I chose Chhattisgarh dental college and research institute (Cdcri). Being a doctor was always my aim and I couldn't get into mbbs with my rank so I chose BDS.
The major fest that we have is the Ganesh festival celebration or GFC . It starts with on the very first day of Ganesh puja with getting the murti and having aarti at night. It lasts for 10 whole days where there are minor events in morning and major events at night. All of the students and teachers are jam packed for these 10 days. Then we have sports week which lasts for week. It consists of indoor games in morning and all of the major sports starts right after working hours. I got to see some really new kinds of sports Then we have fete. There are numerous stalls owned by the students. We get to make dedications for our special ones even anonymously. It gets exciting cause at the end we get to see who became the rose king/queen chocolate king/ queen etc. And the day after fete is the annual function which I basically love because of unlimited gup chup and kulfis We have night long dj and free food on new year's Eve
I stay in a single room at my hostel. There are all kinds of rooms available according to suitability. In a double room there is room for two. The post graduates get different corridors with bigger rooms and AC for their comfort and those are all single room. The food in here is complete vegetarian but it completely tastes like home. Whenever we feel like eating non veg we order it and we get it delivered in our college. As I mentioned earlier the hostel fees is 70k . We have the liberty to get our own personal coolers during summers because it gets really hot here
Yes the college helps us know our inner talents which we never knew about with all of it's ongoing fests and functions. It's really fun when it's going on
Extremely qualified faculty. Doctors in our colleges are so good with their practical knowledge. Every practical exercise that we perform they make us understand each and every concept. Starting from the first year, our anatomy professors Dr. Jain and Dr. Trivedi made anatomy so simple and easy not letting us getting afraid such a vast subject. And even in second year Rajshekhar sir made pharmacology so easy with his daily notes and explaining each mechanism so simply that it's till now my favorite subject. I'm currently in third year and it's a bit tough coping up with the theory subjects and our postings in each department but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Since we are at BDS course we don't have companies coming at our colleges. But every graduate from our college gets into government sector of dentistry very easily. I have been seeing it myself for the past 3 years
It is very good. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. BDS basically consists of lots of theory and more of practicals. The practical work gets a little tiresome at times but the final product is always very satisfying. There are research works going on in my college but I don't really know what they are but hopefully we'll be a part of it some day
