IHM Pusa Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Every semester, it isn't difficult to pass at all if attention to class is paid. Practicals are a little tougher to get thru, but guidance from faculty will enable good results. Theory exams are easier, offline calls for a lot of writing and online digs deep into words.

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Companies start visiting college from October onwards every year. The students who are sitting for placements will definitely get placed. The placement record is 100%.

The placement record of the college is very good and I think I have a job guarantee from this institute, many companies such as Hyatt, Taj, Leela, etc visit and make over 100 offers, and the % of placements is usually 100%. My after graduation is to become a chef and a baker.

Students of 5th semester can sit for placements. The placement cell is quite impressive. Although placement process may get long and frustrating depending on the company. About 30 companies visit. Highest package being 19 lacs for 2.5 yrs. Avg package 3 lpa. About 70% students seeking placements are placed.

The percentage of placement is high. Almost everyone bets 3 to 4 job offers. Obviously, due to the pandemic, job opportunities went down. Also, while everyone gets a job, the packages aren't too high.

The percentage of students placed this year was around 79%. The companies that visited the college were Taj Hotels, Oberoi Hotels, Holiday Inn, Travel Clan, Reliance Retail, Kyocera Pvt. Ltd., Starbucks, Cafe Coffee Day, etc. After completing the degree, I will go for higher studies.

Hotel companies as well as start-ups retail n sales departments of various known brands and recognized 5-star deluxe hotels like the taj, itc , Oberoi, Marriott international, etc come for the placements! I believe it's on the person's soft skills if he cracks the placements round! We have GD-PI technical rounds etc.

Hospitality seemed interesting stream the time when i was opting for college. But now covid has turned around the whole hospitality industry so students should think before entering in this industry. There where approx. 250 students in my whole class which was divided into 5 sections. female ratio was approx. 1:7. Faculty ratio was 1:20. As IHM PUSA is ranked 1 hotel management collages ,knowledge of faculty was pretty decent but faculty behavior was mixed some where very good and some where really rude. Academic management was pretty good exams was always timely done. Passing of exams is very easy.

Planned to gain work experience in the industry and learn and grow my skills sets along with growing my career. Hotel management for me was a great learning experience which taught me alot about real life skills like communicating with new people, solving problems quickly and being punctual
