Pravara Rural College of Pharmacy was established by the Pravara Rural Education Society in the year 1981. The college introduced the B.Pharm course in the year 1987, and M.Pharm was introduced in the year 2004. The Institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The applicant seeking admission for the course should qualify the Maharashtra M.Pharm Entrance Examinations (MAH-MPH-CET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
Applicant should have passed B.Pharm degree with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) of marks in the qualifying examination. The final year B.Pharm students can also apply provisionally, however, the candidate should produce proof documents at the time of admission.

The college offers Diploma in Pharmacy program for duration of two-year. This course is affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE). Admission to the course is done through Online Centralized Admission Process (CAP) on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
The applicant should have passed the H.S.C or 10+2 examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as subjects.
