Bachelor of Arts in English Literature or BA English Literature is an undergraduateprogram in English Language and Literature. It is a 3-year program available for students who have passed their Higher Secondary School Examination. This course is offered by most of the colleges of India.

English Literature degree helps an individual to develop thinking skills and makes them more sensitive towards the world and society. A typical English Literature course comprises of literature from various era and countries and spans novels, plays, poems and essays. How to Get Admission in Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English Literature)

Admission process to Bachelor of Arts program starts after the results of the Higher Secondary School Examinations are declared. The process ideally starts at the end of the month of May, with all major universities releasing cut offs for admission to the program. These cut offs are based on the performance of students in 10+2 examination and the number of students applying to the course. Some universities also conduct entrance exam for intake of students.
