    What is BAMS?

    BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a 5.5 years long graduate degree that covers the study of the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda.

    The basic eligibility for pursuing this course is that the students should have completed their Class 12 with Biology with at least 45-50% from a recognized board. BAMS Admission Process is centralized and is based on the marks obtained in the NEET exam.

    Do I Qualify BAMS Eligibility Criteria?

    In order to pursue a BAMS degree, prospective candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

    • Students should score at least 50%-60% in Class 12 from a recognized board.
    • Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12, as compulsory subjects.
    • Applicants who satisfy the above qualification models need to show up for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and qualify it. Admission to the BAMS course is through a unified directing dependent on the NEET merit list.

    The pass percentage and the age criteria for admission to this course might differ from college to college.

    What are the Top BAMS Entrance Exams?

    As discussed above, ayurvedic colleges take admission on the basis of the NEET exam, followed by the counseling process.

    It is considered a common entrance exam in courses such as MBBA, BDS, including BAMS. It is now a compulsory exam to secure admission in recognized colleges and institutes of the medical field. After centralized counseling, admission is provided to students based on the obtained scores.

    BAMS course duration of 5 years and 6 months consists of syllabus including classroom training, practical training, workshops, conferences, etc., and 1 year of mandate internship in the fifth year. Sanskrit is taught throughout the course for better subject understanding.

    Ans. ASU offers many scholarships to meritorious students. Carey School of Business gives out scholarships worth 1Million USD which attracts a lot of applicants. However, this has also resulted in a competitive applicant pool and lower acceptance rates. General Scholarships range from 500-5000 USD and are very competitive. Students need to have excellent leadership skills, high GPA, and a record of impressive community service in their previous studies. Other than these, you can consider Graduate assistantships at W.P Carey School of Business. However, these are only 10 hours a week and limited in number. Although the number of students for engineering degrees is not much at the institute and the institute is not reputed for its engineering degrees, the placement cell works hard to provide decent placement opportunities to the students.
