    Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a 2 year undergraduate teaching program that enables you to pursue a career in teaching and other related fields. This course can also be commonly known as Bachelor of Training or Shiksha Shastri.

    You can clear this degree within a maximum time span of 5 years. It covers subjects like holistic education, psychology, guidance and counselling and others.

    ALERT: IPU CET BA Application Process has been extended till May 05, 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic.

    One with an aggregate of 50-55% in 10+2 from a recognised university or board is eligible for this course. There are a number of entrance tests for admission in Bachelor of Education course say, IPU CET, BHU UET, DU B.ED and others.

    You can also opt this course through distance education mode. There are numer of colleges offering B.Ed course through distance eduaction like IGNOU, NSOU, LSR and others.

    B.Ed: Admission Process

    There are plenty of colleges and universities offering B.Ed. The admission process for the same varies from institute to institute. Few steps are given below to help you with the admission process:

    1. Visit either the official website of the Institute or the Admission office of the Institute to avail the application forms for admission in B.Ed course.
    2. Fill the application form as directed and then upload the asked documents.
    3. Either you have to appear for the Entrance exams or you have to wait for the merit list to be released by the college or the organization.
    4. Once the results of the entrance exams will be announced or the merit list will be released, selected candidates have to appear for the further documentation process.

    Depending upon the cutoff, admissions will be provided to the aspirants.

    B.Ed Eligibility

    Qualification required to get eligible for Bachelors of Education is to possess an aggregate of 50-55% in your 10+2 from a recognized board or university or you have to clear the entrance exam. 

    For B.Ed admissions there is no age bar. The pass percentage for B.Ed admission may vary from college to college.
