Ques. Which is best, ECE at NIT Srinagar or CS in HBTI Kanpur?

● Top Answer By Akanksha Gupta on 19 Apr 21

Ans. Considering this question, the first criteria are always the student’s preferences. According to that, they should choose the colleges, either NIT Srinagar or HBTI Kanpur. NIT Srinagar is a reputed institute; additionally, HBTU is also an ancient and esteemed institute. The new Vice-Chancellor of the second one is completely dedicated to institutional development, and the institute is developing radically over the past few years. Besides, if you consider the placement facts, then CSE is just edged that ECE regarding the CTC. But, ECE also has several opportunities in both Government and private sectors. It is also quite close considering the placements facts to CSE because IT companies also allow ECE students to sit in the recruitment process. In the following, a brief overview has been given considering the placement facts of these two institutes. Criteria NIT Srinagar HBTU Highest CTC 30 LPA 37 LPA Lowest CTC 5 LPA 7.18 LPA Average CTC 6-8 LPA 10 LPA Placement Statistics 85% 90% Another important thing that you may consider is that location is which institute is nearer to your home. So, it can be concluded that both of these institutes are equally good. One of my friends was a former student of HBTU, so he was quite partial to his institute, as he studied there, so he knew better. From the year 2018, to get admission to HBTU, the student has to qualify 12th standard board exam from UP, or their parents must belong to the UP domicile.Read more

Ques. How good is NIT calicut ECE?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 13 Apr 21

Ans. NITC is pretty good in terms of both curriculum and placement. But ECE in general is a vast branch where you have to study bits and pieces of electronics, Electrical engineering, Communication Engineering, and Computer Science. Initially, it might seem a bit overwhelming but once you get the hang of it, you will understand the beauty of the subject. First-year concepts are general for all branches. You can spend time improving your coding skills as it's very important in the current scenario. In the second year, you will learn about the basics of electronics and communication. Here you will come across basic concepts like solid-state devices, Network theory, logic designs, and many more. Look for internship opportunities from your second year so that you will get some good exposure. You can also work on some projects under your faculties. Third-year is majorly dedicated to computer networks, digital signal processing, microprocessors, and controllers. You will get a wide range of electives to choose from including AI to VLSI. Prepare for GATE at this stage if you want to pursue higher education. Fourth-year is all about placements, projects, and internships. 151 students from the 2019-20 batch availed of internship opportunities with an average stipend of 15K. Particulars ECE at NIT Calicut Students Participated 877 Placement rate 73.5% Highest CTC offered 49.7 LPA Average CTC offered 11.58 LPA No. of Companies Participated 133 Recruiting Companies Wipro, Tata Motors, Morgan Stanley, ZS, CISCO, and Fidelity. Overall, NIT Calicut is a good University to pursue ECE at. In the end, it comes down to your dedication and passion for the subject.Read more

Ques. Should I choose NIT Trichy metallurgy over NIT Raipur ECE?

● Top Answer By Aman Kumar on 01 Apr 21

Ans. My friend is currently pursuing B.Tech from NIT Raipur in the mechanical department. His honest opinion says that you should go for metallurgy at NIT Trichy. Here’s why If you went for the wrong branch or found out later that this is not your cup of tea, then after the 1st year you will have an option called branch sliding. In this process, you can change your branch from the current one to the desired one based upon the number of vacancies and score. If you went for the wrong college, then there's no option as a college slide! You’ll have to devote your 4 years in that college anyhow, except if you again decide to give mains. So, if you simply want to get into a better place then choose NIT Trichy. This is because you can get the advantage of branch sliding anyhow. However, if you don’t want to take risk of not getting the desired branch, then go for NIT Raipur. At last, sort your preferences and know your sole aim. Because in the long run, your happiness and satisfaction are what matters the most!Read more

Ques. Who is the best faculty at ECED, NIT CALICUT?

● Top Answer By Ankita Mitra on 25 Mar 21

Ans. At first, the term 'best faculty' is not an extensive classification basis. As we know Electronics and Communication are a vast field of engineering, and here we can classify roughly into Digital and analog domains. The faculty members have different specializations and some are indeed true masters of their trend. For Signal Processing - Dr. G Abhilash – He is the perfect blend of Dedication and discipline redefined. He makes students learn subjects through the blend of excellent lecturing skills as well as practical sessions. For Communication - Dr. lillykutty Jacob and Dr. P C Subramanian (Chaos Theory) For Semiconductor Physics, VLSI - Dr. Rama Subramanian – He is also very popular among students for his student-friendly nature. For Embedded - Lyla B Das – Also the author of some textbooks, she has the industry experience and is also student-friendly. Dr. Sathi Devi and Dr. Elisabeth Elias are also doing remarkable work in their fields. Dr. Praveen Sankaran, Ameer P M, Dr. Rama Subramanian, and Abhilash are some of the coolest ones among the faculty members and personal favorites of most of the students. They just not come to deliver lectures but also motivate the students and share their industrial experience.Read more

Ques. Which is better NIT Trichy ECE or NIT Calicut CSE?

● Top Answer By Sourabh Kumar on 24 Mar 21

Ans. NIT Trichy is better than NIT Calicut. But the CSE department of NIT Calicut is better than all NITs. The placement of CSE is better. You can choose any course according to your interest.  The following table will give you the basic information of NIT Trichy ECE or NIT Calicut CSE.  Category NIT Trichy NIT Calicut  Fees INR 1.49 Lakhs (1st Year) INR 5.42 Lakhs  Recruiters  HCL, Mahindra, Genpact, Cognizant, Sensiple, Sonata, Wipro, Ramco, Tata Consultancy Services, Zoho, Rivigo, Hexaware  Google, Tata Consultancy Services, Amazon, Infosys, IBM, Oracle, Intel Corporation, Qualcomm, L&T, Microsoft, Cisco, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture Highest Package  INR 40 LPA INR 49.75 LPA Average Package  INR 4.5 LPA INR 11.58 LPA If you are a person who can spend hours before the computer and likes the challenging corporate life then CSE will be a better option for you after the 12th. If you are interested in studying various subjects and then choosing your specialisation, you work hard and are disciplined, then you choose ECE. You can also work on research in DRDO or ISRO.  One of my friends studies in the NIT Calicut CSE department, and students get a decent placement there. The highest package offered to students at NIT Calicut is INR 49.75 LPA while the average package is INR 11.58 LPA. CSE students easily get internship opportunities in good companies which gives them pre-placement offers.  If you are curious about the hostel life of a girl’s NIT Calicut then here are few details.  NIT Calicut hostel rules are strict specifications for first year students. In the first year, 4-5 students will live in one room, second and third-year students get two roommates and final year students get single occupancy.  There are four messes in NIT Calicut, and one of them is pure-veg. Its mess food is better than other institutes such as IITs and NITs. It also has a night mess opened from 9 to 12. Therefore, the NIT Calicut CSE department is good. After you get promoted in the second year, you will start enjoying your campus stay. The campus is also beautiful. The Calicut climate is also good, most of the month it is hot and rains in one semester. So, you can choose CSE if you're passionate about it.Read more
